(DOWNGRADE IPHONE 5 , 4s iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1 and iOS 6.0.2)
We’ve some great news if you had accidentally upgraded your iOS device to iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6.1.4 making it impossible to jailbreak your device due to the lack of a jailbreak.
Surenix, developer of the popular jailbreak themes and tweaks such as ayecon and atom has just discovered that Apple is randomly resigning some iOS 6.0.x firmware files.
He tweeted:
For example: Apple seems to be signing iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1 and iOS 6.0.2 firmware for iPhone 5. This means that you will be able to downgrade your device to that iOS 6.0.x firmware and re-jailbreak your device with evasi0n.
We’re seeing several reports on Twitter of users managing to successfully downgrade to iOS 6.0.x and re-jailbreak their device using evasi0n. Please note that downgrading to iOS 6.0.x will mean that you won’t be able to restore from your latest iOS 6.1.3/iOS 6.1.4 backup as it won’t be compatible, you will be able to restore from an older iOS 6.0.x backup, or set it up as a new device.
So head over to this link to find out, which firmware Apple is still signing, download the firmware and downgrade to that version using iTunes.
