Jheelnagari Music Festival — 29th September 2025 🌸

Under the serene September sky of Thane — the City of Lakes — the echoes of ghungroos and soulful ragas once again filled the air as the 12th Jheelnagari Music Festival unfolded in all its glory.

This year, the stage came alive with the powerful storytelling of Nadroop’s ballet “Krishna – The Liberator” presented by Kathak Guru Pandita Shama Bhate, followed by a spellbinding solo recital by the dynamic Dheerendra Tiwari.

The evening was more than just performances — it was a tribute. A heartfelt namaskar to two stalwarts, Dr. Mrs. Manjiri Deo and Pandita Shama Bhate, honored for completing 75 glorious years and dedication towards enriching the legacy of Kathak.

In yet another proud moment, Swanand Kala Prasarak Kendra celebrated 19 wonderful years of promoting classical arts and gracefully stepped into its 20th year, marking the occasion with the unveiling of its new logo — a symbol of renewal and creative growth marking a fresh chapter in its artistic journey.

From legends to rising stars, from heartfelt tributes to thunderous applause — the Jheelnagari Music Festival 2025 shone once again as a sacred confluence of tradition, talent, and timeless art.
