I Was Bluntly Advised To Resign By My Project Director!
After dedicating 18 years to the construction industry, I faced a pivotal moment that reshaped my career journey 🚧. My Project Director (PD) unexpectedly asked me to oversee the civil works instead of my expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), due to a halt in MEP activities. Despite the shift not aligning with my skills or interests, I was assigned to manage a massive excavation project spanning 2 lakh square meters, coordinating with multiple agencies and overseeing construction machinery 🏗️.
Initially, I struggled to find joy in this new role. Two months in, frustration peaked, and I confronted my PD, expressing my discontent and longing to return to my MEP domain. However, my concerns were dismissed, and I was bluntly advised to resign if I was unsatisfied 😔.
Feeling unheard, I reached out to HR, detailing the ordeal. The HR head encouraged me to persevere and refocus on my domain responsibilities. Despite their support, the aftermath was challenging:
1️⃣ Strained relationships with PD and site top management 😕
2️⃣ Received the lowest appraisal rating 📉
3️⃣ No salary increment that year 💸
4️⃣ Excluded from review meetings 🚫
5️⃣ Overlooked for assignments and recognition 🙈
6️⃣ Faced deep frustration, leading to anxiety 😟
7️⃣ Difficulty in maintaining collegial relationships 🤝
8️⃣ Felt neglected within my work environment 🌪️
9️⃣ My responsibilities were reassigned, undermining my position 🔁
These incidents changed something about myself that is within me!
This negative phase persisted for nearly a year. Yet, remarkably, everything changed the following year:
1️⃣ Built a strong rapport with my PD 🤝
2️⃣ Shared meals and discussions in dining table almost everyday 🍽️
3️⃣ Entrusted with multiple domain-specific responsibilities 💼
4️⃣ Became a regular participant in vital and client review meetings 📈
5️⃣ Emerged as a key figure with full control over my domain 🌟
6️⃣ Earned recognition from top management 👏
7️⃣ Achieved a high rank in the appraisal process and received a significant increment 💰
From being rejected, dejected, and frustrated to being recognized, appreciated, motivated – it was a year of profound transformation.
But what exactly changed within me? Was it a series of strategic moves, a shift in mindset, or merely luck? 🤔
I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on navigating career challenges and turning points.

🛠️Step 4: Include Contingencies
Always include a contingency fund in your estimate. This is your financial buffer for unexpected expenses. Better safe than sorry!
🔄Step 5: Regular Reviews
Cost estimation isn’t a one-time task. Revisit and revise your estimates regularly as the project progresses and new information comes to light.
💡Step 6: Leverage Technology
Use project management and cost estimation software. They can help track real-time expenses and adjust forecasts with precision.

😥Story Of One Of My Friends Working In A Large Construction Company In MEP Domain Since 16Year...
He Is An Electrical Engineer with Having Total Experience of> 16Years...
He Is Leading A Good Life With Many Limitations Due To The Following Reasons :
🔴 Working in only one domain 'Electrical' in the last 15 yrs.
🔴 Not developed any other MEP skills
🔴 Not developed any Management /Managerial /Personal Development Skills
🔴 Not ready to develop a growth mindset from a fixed mindset
🔴 As worked in the same company in the same department, he is now facing difficulties applying for MEP Jobs.
But he is living life happily with his family as he is working in a big construction company with the followings:
🟢 Getting Salary on time
🟢 Getting regular Promotions & Appraisal
🟢 No EMI burden as not purchased Land/Flat/ Car till date.
🟢 Avail various facilities provided by the company
🔴 Roaming one place to another by every 2/3 years due to transfer.
🔴 No burning desire in life.
🟡 Stable Career Growth in the same Company by killing many dreams.
But I asked myself What is the ideal condition of life?...
Serving Company for a Long Time And Not Fulfill Many Dreams and after retirement waiting for the last Day???…
As Per My Understanding, the ideal Life shall be like below::
✳️ Serving or contributing to society by sharing knowledge and building a strong network.
✳️ Develop New Skills and Learn new things which can be a habit for lifelong.
✳️ Find a burning desire and work in that direction
✳️ Focus on personal GOALs
✳️ Become Financial Free
✳️ Reading Books to enhance knowledge
✳️ Writing Books that help to establish an Authority
✳️ Create Values in the marketplace
✳️ Explore some alternative sources of income besides Job
✳️ Many more activities to engage till the last breath to activate our Mind & Body
Live Life One Time With Full Potential, Happily And Successfully which is an ideal choice for a human being...
We need to think deeply and Choose our destiny...

One of my learning about Leadership Skills…
Becoming a Leader is not an easy task…
Most of the Construction Managers (>90%) are not true Leaders…
All these managers claimed their Leadership quality by the followings:
1️⃣ Dictatorship nature
2️⃣ Wrong utilization of their authority
3️⃣ Demotivate subordinates
4️⃣ Not encourage any achievements by subordinates
5️⃣ Not giving respect to the juniors
Do you know why they are like this?
Because they stopped LEARNINGs and they believe They know everything…
Because of no learning, their MIND is filled with negativity, anxiety, worries, and tensions pumped by their bosses as well…
So how to break the chain and become a Great Character & Great Project Manager?...
All these negativity, worries, and tensions are loaded in our minds for a long time…
Now it is very difficult to overwrite old data so the only solution is to download with good data like:
⏩ Setting a measurable GOAL (Exp.: Become VP by the next 5/10 Yrs.)
⏩ A burning desire (Exp.: Become obsessed with Goal)
⏩ Learning new skills (Exp.: Learning all required skillset to achieve target quickly)
⏩ Positive thinking (Exp.: Personal Development)
⏩ Good habits (Exp.: Maintaining a disciplined lifestyle)
All you can achieve by following a structured system & process by developing Professional & Personal managerial skills…
Based on my learnings from some great people, what I understand is that a Great Leader can control their MIND not controlled by MIND…
