Warm Welcome to Students at SMM High School and Junior College
Thane.
The new academic year 2026–27 commenced with great enthusiasm on Monday, 15 June. Students of std (I to V )were warmly welcomed on the very first day of school.
The welcome ceremony was graced by the presence of the school President, Mr. Sudhakar More, Corporator Mr. Sudhir Kokate, Members of the Trust,Primary Section Headmistress Mrs. Utkarsha Hawaldar, Secondary Section Headmaster Mr. Roshan Wagh, Pre-Primary Section Head Mrs. Mansi Gogawale, along with teachers and non-teaching staff. The students were welcomed with surprise gifts.
The school campus was beautifully decorated with colourful rangolis and welcome displays. A special welcome programme was organized for the newly admitted students of Kindergarten and Grade I.
Various fun and engaging activities were conducted for the students of std I to V. Creative and joyful learning methods were introduced to develop students’ interest in learning and to make them feel comfortable and confident at school.
The warm welcome initiative boosted students’ confidence and marked a positive beginning to their new educational journey.

Pre-Primary Section – Reopening Day
The Pre-Primary Section of SMM High School & JR. College was filled with joy and excitement as we welcomed our little ones back to school for the academic year 2026–2027.
To make their first day even more memorable, the school premises and classrooms were beautifully decorated with colourful themes and engaging activities were planned to create a warm and cheerful atmosphere for our young learners.
On this special occasion, we had invited Municipal Corporator Mr. Sudhir Kokate, President Mr. Sudhakar More, Trustee Members, Principal of Secondary Mr. Wagh, Principal of Primary Mrs. Hawaldar and Incharge Mrs. Manasi Gogawale shared their blessings and distributed delicious sweets to our tiny tots, adding more happiness to their first day celebrations.
For some children, it was an emotional moment as they stepped into school for the first time without their parents by their side. We understand their little tears and feelings during this new journey.
With the continuous support, care, and affection of our dedicated teachers and staff members, we are confident that our little ones will soon feel comfortable, happy, and excited to come to school every day.
