Guru Purnima Celebration 2026

Guru Purnima was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Shiv Samarth Sevak Mandal's Shiv Samarth English Medium School on 29th July 2026. The celebration was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Kirti Vaidya, Chairperson Smt. Aditi Joshi, and Principal Mrs. Neeta Mirkar, whose presence made the occasion more memorable. The event was organised to honour teachers and help students understand the importance of a Guru in shaping their lives.

The celebration began with prayers, devotional shlokas, and speeches explaining the significance of Guru Purnima. Pre-Primary students offered flowers to the idol of Goddess Saraswati, recited Guru shlokas, and learned about the life and teachings of Guru Vyas. Primary students expressed their gratitude by preparing handmade greeting cards and colourful charts dedicated to their teachers.

The programme also included an Elocution Competition for students of Grades V to IX, where participants confidently delivered speeches on different topics. The winners were felicitated with certificates by the Chief Guest, Chairperson, and Principal. Another special highlight was the Student Council Investiture Ceremony, where Master Shlok More received the Head Boy's sash from Mrs. Kirti Vaidya, Miss Swara Gaikar received the Head Girl's sash from Smt. Aaditi Joshi, and the class prefects were presented with badges by Principal Mrs. Neeta Mirkar. The celebration ended with inspiring speeches and a vote of thanks, leaving students with a deeper respect for their teachers and a stronger sense of leadership and responsibility.

Inauguration of Medical Room 2026

On the occasion of Doctor’s Day, Wednesday, 1st July 2026, Shiv Samarth English Medium School, Thane is proud to inaugurate its newly renovated Medical Room.

It is a safe, well-ventilated space equipped with a bed, first-aid box, and essential medicines prescribed by a doctor designed to provide immediate care and comfort to our students who feel unwell during school hours.

To mark this special day, we have also organized a general medical check-up for Std. 7 students by Dr. Mrs. Sonali A. Gupte (BAMS)from the Inner Wheel Club of Thane Midtown.

We are honoured to have Chairman Smt. Aaditi Joshi, School Committee members Mr. Ulhas Pradhan, Mr. Milind Vaidya, Mrs. Kirti Vaidya, member of the Inner Wheel Club of Thane Midtown Mrs. Chhaya Zende, and Dr. Mrs. Sonali A. Gupte, who graced the occasion and inaugurated the facility at 10:00 a.m.

Parents also visited the Medical Room and appreciated the efforts taken by the school.

Because every child deserves care, comfort, and a safe space to heal.

डॉक्टर दिनाचे औचित्य साधून शिवसमर्थ इंग्लिश मिडियम शाळेमध्ये नव्याने उभारण्यात आलेल्या वैद्यकीय कक्षाचे (मेडिकल रूम) उद्घाटन डॉ. सोनाली गुप्ते यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले.
या प्रसंगी शाळा समितीच्या अध्यक्षा श्रीमती आदिती जोशी, श्री उल्हास प्रधान, सौ. कीर्ती वैद्य, श्री मिलिंद वैद्य, इनरव्हील क्लबच्या सौ. छाया झेंडे, शाळेच्या मुख्याध्यापिका सौ. मिरकर, हेड टीचर सौ. सपना जालवी तसेच शिक्षकवृंद उपस्थित होते.

कार्यक्रमादरम्यान विद्यार्थ्यांच्या आरोग्यसुरक्षेच्या दृष्टीने इनरव्हील क्लबतर्फे शाळेला मेडिकल किट प्रदान करण्यात आले.

यावेळी डॉ. सोनाली गुप्ते यांनी इयत्ता सातवीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांची वैद्यकीय तपासणी करून त्यांना आरोग्यविषयक मार्गदर्शन केले.
उपस्थित मान्यवरांनी या उपक्रमाचे कौतुक करत विद्यार्थ्यांच्या आरोग्यविषयक गरजांसाठी वैद्यकीय कक्ष अत्यंत उपयुक्त ठरेल, असा विश्वास व्यक्त केला. तसेच शाळेतील सर्व विद्यार्थ्यांची नियमित वैद्यकीय तपासणी करण्यात यावी, अशी सूचना करण्यात आली. त्यानुसार येत्या काळात सर्व विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी टप्प्याटप्प्याने आरोग्य तपासणी उपक्रम राबविण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आला.

विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासाबरोबरच त्यांच्या आरोग्याचीही काळजी घेण्याच्या शाळेच्या प्रयत्नांचे उपस्थितांनी कौतुक केले.

A Joyful New Beginning!
Pre-Primary Section Reopened – 22nd June 2026

Today we celebrated the reopening of our newly renovated Pre-Primary Section at Shiv Samarth English Medium School, Thane for the Academic Year 2026–2027!

Our tiny tots stepped into vibrant, colourful classrooms filled with new educational toys.

The day began with fun-filled activities. Our little learners worshipped Goddess Saraswati to seek her blessings. Principal Mrs. Neeta Mirkar and the teachers welcomed them with sweets.

Smiles, laughter and excitement filled the air as our little learners explored their new learning corners. Some children were emotional as they stepped into school for the first time some were crying, some were enjoying and some were busy playing with toys. Parents were emotional too.

But overall, the day was spent beautifully and ended on a happy note.

International Yoga Day Celebration - 21/6/2026

Shiv Samarth English Medium School, Thane celebrated International Yoga Day on Sunday, 21st June 2026 with great enthusiasm and participation from Primary and Secondary students.

The programme commenced with Saraswati Pujan performed by the Principal Mrs. Neeta Mirkar and teachers, seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for knowledge, health and well-being.

This was followed by a Yoga Session conducted by Miss. Madhulika Dhavle. She guided students through various asanas, pranayama and meditation techniques. The session helped students understand the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness and mental peace.

The school appreciates the efforts of Miss Madhulika Dhavle and the cooperation of all staff and students in making the event a success.

Orientation Meeting for Pre-Primary Parents – Academic Year 2026–2027

Shiv Samarth English Medium School, Thane conducted the First Orientation Meeting for parents of the Pre-Primary Section on 20th June 2026.

The meeting was presided over by the Principal Mrs.Neeta Mirkar and attended by the Coordinator, teachers and parents.

The day was made special by Hon. Dr. Chaitanya Sathe School Chairman Smt. Aaditi Joshi, School Committee Member Mrs. Kirti Vaidya,Trustee Member Mr. Anil Hajare and Principal Mrs. Neeta Mirkar, who lit the traditional lamp and worshiped Goddess Saraswati to seek her blessings for the new session.

Mrs. Priya Oak, President and Mrs.Kirti Vaidya, member of Inner Wheel Club of Thane Midtown, personally visited the school and donated a variety of educational and engaging toys for our pre-primary students.

A coordinator Mrs.Sharmila Londhe formally introduced Principal Mrs. Neeta Mirkar to the parents by sharing her professional journey and achievements.

Head Teacher Smt.Sapna Jalvi introduced Coordinator Mrs. Sharmila Londhe and Pre-Primary teachers to the parents.
Our staff then briefed parents about school rules, discipline policy and academic plans for the new year. Principal Mrs. Neeta Mirkar addressed the gathering and shared her vision for student development. Parents were deeply convinced and inspired by her thoughts and approach.

A question-answer session was held where parents’ queries regarding books, transport, and food habits were addressed by the school team.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks . Parents appreciated the informative session and assured their cooperation for the new academic year.

The school thanks all parents for their active participation and looks forward to a fruitful year ahead.

Welcome Back to School
15th June 2026

Shiv Samarth English Medium School, Thane reopened today for Primary and Secondary sections. The school campus came alive with smiling faces, laughter and excitement.

Teachers had beautifully decorated the classrooms and prepared a special 'Welcome' board to greet the students, making them feel loved and valued on their first day. The day started with a special assembly where the Principal motivated students for a successful year ahead. Students offered prayers and worshipped Goddess Saraswati to seek her blessings for knowledge and wisdom.

Primary kids enjoyed fun activities and stories, while Secondary students were guided about the new academic plan. To make the occasion sweeter, sweets were distributed to all students.

A fresh start filled with hope, learning and new dreams!

Shiv Samarth English Medium School successfully conducted the Orientation Meeting for parents of Std. 1 to 9 on 13/6/2026.
