International Women's Day was celebrated by the Dept of Political Science, L.G.B. Girls' College on 6th of March. I, on behalf of my Dept. extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Chief Guest Ms. Anindita Gogoi, Founder of Tottosan Community Library and also the founder of first children's library of Assam, also associated with Street Library for accepting our invitation. She delivered an insightful speech on the theme "Give to Gain: Empowering Women through Rights, Justice and Collective Action".

On this occasion, Free Make Up Kit along with certificates were distributed amongst the students including alumni who have completed the free make up certificate course organised by the Dept. Of Political Science, conducted under NSDC, Govt. Of India by Medhavi Skill Hub, Tezpur in college premises. In this regard I would also like to thank Mr. Bichitra Deka for giving us guidance in initiating the process.

The Department of Political Science has planted flowers inside the college premises as a part of "College Beautification Drive". The students of the Department have brought flowers, planted it inside the college premises with the intention to make aware of the importance of nature, beautify the college campus and also to make an eco-friendly environment.
