🏊‍♂️ *Inter-School Swimming Competition 2026 | International Delhi Public School, Jammu*

“Success is not just about winning; it is about having the courage to dive in, compete, and give your best.”

International Delhi Public School, Jammu proudly hosted the Inter-School , organised by the , bringing together young swimmers with enthusiasm, confidence and a true spirit of sportsmanship.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various schools and swimming clubs across Jammu, providing young swimmers with a wonderful platform to showcase their talent.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Suminder Singh, Managing Director; Mr. Swaran Singh, Managing Director – Finance; Ms. Randeep Wazir, Principal, IDPS; and Ms. Madhu Abrol, Director – School Administration, IDPS, whose presence and encouragement added great significance to the occasion.

The competition featured exciting swimming events across various age categories:
🏊 Under 5–10 years :
• 15 Metres Freestyle
🏊 Under 12 years :
• 25 Metres Freestyle
• 25 Metres Breaststroke
• 25 Metres Backstroke
• 25 Metres Butterfly
🏊 Under 14–17 years:
• 50 Metres Freestyle
• 50 Metres Breaststroke
• 50 Metres Backstroke
• 50 Metres Butterfly

The young swimmers displayed determination, discipline and true sporting spirit, making every race a celebration of talent and perseverance.
The event also concluded with a felicitation ceremony, appreciating the participants for their enthusiastic participation and commendable performances.
A memorable day celebrating the joy of swimming, the spirit of competition and the timeless values of sportsmanship, perseverance and excellence. 🏆

Learning goes beyond the classroom when curiosity meets creativity!

As part of CBSE’s Kaushal Bodh initiative, our students explored the fascinating world of Hydroponics—discovering how plants can grow without soil through hands-on experimentation and sustainable practices.

From designing simple hydroponic setups using reusable materials to placing plant cuttings, observing growth and understanding the role of water and nutrients, the activity encouraged students to learn by doing.

We are immensely proud to share that two of our talented cricketers, 🏏 *Farzan Ansari and Trivijay Singh Jamwal (Under-19)*, have been selected to represent at the *UT Level Cricket Tournament* being held in 📍 *Anantnag, Kashmir.*

They are the *first two students in the history of IDPS School Jammu* to achieve this remarkable feat and represent the UT in cricket. 🌟👏

हमें यह बताते हुए अत्यंत हर्ष और गर्व हो रहा है कि इंटरनेशनल दिल्ली पब्लिक स्कूल, जम्मू की हिंदी शिक्षिका सपना देवी को हिंदी दिवस के पावन अवसर पर मधुबन एजुकेशनल बुक्स की ओर से प्रतिष्ठित “हिंदी शिक्षक सम्मान” से सम्मानित किया गया।

The Inter-House Katha Vachan Competition for Grades VII–VIII was held on 12 September 2026, bringing alive the timeless beauty of storytelling and the profound Guru–Shishya relationship.

Centred around the evocative theme “मिट्टी से मूर्ति तक — गुरु-शिष्य संबंध की अमर कथा”, the competition beautifully portrayed how a Guru, like a skilled sculptor, patiently shapes, guides and transforms a learner’s life.

The young storytellers captivated the audience with expressive narration, meaningful performances and powerful storytelling, reflecting the values of respect, wisdom, guidance and gratitude that lie at the heart of the Guru–Shishya tradition. Through their performances, the students demonstrated that a story is not merely heard—it is felt, imagined and lived. ✨

🌟 Inter-House Hindi Debate Competition 2026–27 🌟

“विचारों की शक्ति ही समाज को दिशा देती है।”

The Inter-House Hindi Debate Competition for Grades IX–X was conducted with great enthusiasm, providing students with a vibrant platform to express their ideas, sharpen their reasoning and engage in meaningful discourse in the richness of the Hindi language.

The competition revolved around the thought-provoking topic:

“क्या तीव्र तकनीकी विकास के युग में मानवीय संवेदनाएँ पीछे छूट रही हैं?”

The young debaters presented compelling arguments, thoughtfully examining the impact of rapid technological advancement on human relationships, empathy and emotional connect. Their well-articulated viewpoints reflected awareness of contemporary issues, confidence, critical thinking and a commendable command over Hindi.

The competition was not merely a contest of words, but a celebration of ** विचार, तर्क और अभिव्यक्ति**. It encouraged students to look beyond the conveniences of technology and reflect upon the importance of preserving the human values that give meaning to progress.
