Basanta Utsav literally means the ‘celebration of spring’. Falgun and Chaitra according to the Bengali calendar is the season of Dol Utsav. During this season nature shows its own beauty with colorful flowers of Palash, Shimul etc. The beautiful tradition of celebrating spring festival in Bengal was first started by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore at Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan.
Later in the day, on Basanta Utsav, the students as well as the teachers apply colored powders on each other. This powder is popularly called abeer (abhor). Following the coloring tradition, the entire premises of "MOYNA PHARMACEUTICAL INSTITUTE" gets filled with the colors of abeer. A warm welcome is given to all the visitors and each of them is welcomed to join in this merry making festival.

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has declared March 6 to be "NATIONAL PHARMACY EDUCATION DAY" in remembrance of Professor Mahadeva Lal Schroff's birth anniversary and to honour his role in founding pharmacy education in India.
On this auspicious occasion, a one-day symposium was organized by MOYNA PHARMACEUTICAL INSTITUTE (MPI) in collaboration with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, briefed about research conducted at college and activities under Prof M. L. Schroff Chair.
Encouraged all budding pharmacists to write articles and involve in research. He also briefed about the journey of Prof Schroff from freedom fighter to the founder of pharmacy education in India.

Various industry experts through multiple sessions discussed about the National Education Policy 2020, Clinical Research in India, Herbal Colours and the importance of fostering a thriving healthcare innovation ecosystem. Further, there were sessions that elaborated on the functions of Indian Pharmaceutical Associations and about learning software skills like SAP & other pharma software to achieve career goals.

Expelling with the eminent goals the programme ended with elite views.

Dialectic into the path of illuminant envoying the inner hidden character of our nurturing minds in the presence of our delegatory members ( Mr .Bidyut Maity & Mr. Sasanka Maity ) along with other faculty members a successful Orientation/Cultural envoy is being executed in our college premises on 13th of Jan 2024.
It's a collaboration of students , faculties to bring the event into entity and further queue of events are being lined up.
