The Department of Mathematics, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya, organized an educational tour to Purulia from 19th to 21st December 2025. The tour aimed to blend learning with experience, encouraging students to explore the connection between mathematics and nature. The group visited popular locations such as Ayodhya Hills, Marble Lake, Charida Village, and Upper Dam, where students observed natural patterns, symmetry, and geometric formations in the landscape. Faculty members guided discussions on practical aspects of mathematics in architecture, ecology, and measurements. The serene environment of Purulia provided an inspiring setting for learning beyond the classroom. Students also interacted with local artisans, gaining insights into cultural and mathematical designs in traditional crafts. The trip strengthened teamwork, analytical thinking, and appreciation for the discipline’s real-world applications. Overall, the educational tour was both enriching and memorable, reflecting the department’s commitment to holistic learning experiences.
