Teachers’ Day Celebration at Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya on 5th September, 2026.

Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya celebrated Teachers’ Day with great respect and enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great philosopher, teacher, and former President of India.

On this occasion, TCS Dr. Krushna Chandra Patra, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Pritiranjan Pahari, and the teachers of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya paid floral tribute and offered garlands to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, remembering his invaluable contribution to education and nation-building.

Heartfelt tribute and profound respect to Dr. Tapan Kumar Pattanayak, respected Associate Professor of Physics and former Head of the Department of B.Ed., Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya, on his retirement.

The farewell programme was graced by TIC Prof. Sanchita Mukherjee, TCS Dr. Krushna Chandra Patra, and respected members of the Teachers’ Council.

We sincerely thank him for his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the institution. Wishing him a happy, healthy, peaceful, and fulfilling retired life. 🙏🌸

Today, August 29, 2026, an awareness seminar was organized by the NSS Units of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya to mark National Sports Day.
The event commenced with the garlanding of the portrait of Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
Mr. Tarun Kumar Bera attended the event as the keynote speaker and delivered an insightful address on the importance of sports in students' lives and the role of athletics in physical and mental development.
Alongside the seminar, various sports competitions were organized, drawing enthusiastic participation from the students. These included:
• Boys' Kabaddi competition
• Girls' Kho-Kho competition
At the conclusion of the events, the winners and participants were duly awarded.
The primary objective of celebrating this special day was to highlight the importance of sports—alongside academics—to the youth, as sports play an immense role in fostering a healthy, strong, and confident younger generation.

Yesterday, on August 28, 2026, the NSS units of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya organized several football matches to mark National Sports Day. A total of three matches were played among four teams, with students from our college participating with great enthusiasm and active engagement.
Sports hold immense importance alongside academics. Driven by this message, our modest initiative aimed to inspire students to attach equal significance to sports in their lives.
The day was made even more special by the celebration of the Rakhi Bandhan festival. Before the matches began, Rakhis were tied on the players' wrists to convey a message of strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, harmony, unity, and mutual affection.

📢 UG Registration Notice – Session 2026–27

Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya has announced the registration schedule for all newly admitted Undergraduate students of the 2026–27 academic session.

📅 29 August 2026 (Saturday): Only B.Sc. Major (Hons.) Students
📅 31 August–3 September 2026: All remaining students

🏫 Registration will be conducted at the College Office during office hours. Subject change, as per college norms, will also be completed during the registration process.

📑 Students are requested to bring all required original documents along with photocopies and complete their registration within the scheduled dates.

Khelo India Dialogue' was organized today under the joint initiative of the NSS Units of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya and Mera Yuva Bharat, East Medinipur.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Papai Das, Deputy Director, Mera Yuva Bharat; Prof. Sanchita Mukherjee, Teacher-in-Charge, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya; and Ms. Sujata Khujur, an eminent National Hockey Player from SAI. Also present were National Kabaddi player Biswajit Bankura and National Yoga player Aranya Hutait from our district, alongside the college's faculty members and students.
Through this significant dialogue, the Honorable Prime Minister urged the youth to focus more on sports and to prioritize them in their lives. Sports not only enhance physical fitness but also foster discipline, self-confidence, leadership qualities, and a team spirit.
