50 determined cadets from Tolani Maritime Institute set out at 01:30 hrs with one goal — to push boundaries and make their mark at the Maritime Run in Mumbai organized by as part of the National Maritime Day Celebrations (NMDC) 2026 on March 29, 2026. 🌙➡️🌅

With 40 boy cadets and 10 girl cadets, the team showcased true endurance and discipline, as every single cadet successfully completed the 10 km run with remarkable performance 💪🔥

🌟 Leading the charge:
🏃‍♀️ Cdt Malavika Sunil emerged as the fastest runner in the girls’ category, with Cdt Devika Sreekumar securing a brilliant 2nd place 🥇🥈
🏃‍♂️ In the Marine category, Cdt Ahilesh clinched 2nd position, followed closely by Cdt Appu Jishnu in 3rd, and Cdt Sparsh Bist securing an impressive 4th place 🏆

From the early hours to the finish line, this was more than a race — it was a testament to resilience, teamwork, and the relentless spirit of TMI cadets ⚓✨

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Tolani Maritime Institute’s organized an engaging two-day workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The session was led by Mr. Swapnil Sanap, Founder of IP Shastra, and Mrs. Shubhangi Sanap, Co-founder of IP Shastra, who shared valuable insights on protecting ideas, innovation, and research in today’s knowledge-driven economy. 💡⚓

The workshop was attended by 150 cadets from Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and BBA in Maritime Logistics, along with faculty members. The speakers highlighted the importance of IPR awareness for students, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs, while encouraging participants to think creatively and transform ideas into impactful innovations.

Faculty members actively engaged in discussions on how maritime education can contribute to national innovation goals and explored ways to integrate problem-solving and innovation-driven thinking into the curriculum.

The session proved to be highly informative, inspiring, and motivating, bridging the gap between policy and practice and encouraging educators and cadets alike to contribute to India’s innovation-driven future. 🌍🚢
