Venue: Supreme Court
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Supreme Court issued these historic directions.

The Court ordered the Central and State Governments to submit, on or before March 31, a report detailing the actions taken to implement the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act). Once again, the Supreme Court has issued clear directions.

India’s highest court (the Supreme Court) delivered a remarkable judgment focused on students’ futures and equality,

The essence of this judgment is as follows:

1. One Bench – One Education
The Court stated that the child of a rickshaw worker, the child of a millionaire, and even the child of a judge should sit in the same classroom, on the same bench, and study together. Only then will social inequalities among children be eliminated.

2. Mandatory Implementation of 25% Free Seats
Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the Court directed that 25% free seats reserved for underprivileged children in private schools must be implemented strictly. This is not charity; it is a constitutional right of children, the Court clarified.

3. No Walls Between Minds
There should be no barriers among children based on caste, religion, or wealth. When children study together from a young age:

* A sense of friendship and fraternity grows.
* They learn to respect one another.
* Social unity is strengthened.

4. What Should the Government Do?
The Court directed the Central and State Governments to ensure these provisions are properly implemented and set a clear deadline to submit an action-taken report by March 31.

Important Note:
“Education is not merely about reading books. True social change happens only when a poor child and a rich child grow up learning together.” — This reflects the Supreme Court’s vision.

Final Word:-Education must be equally accessible to all children. This is a right guaranteed by our Constitution, and the Supreme Court has reaffirmed it once again.

Demand: Release of White Paper on Implementation of Right to Education Act, 2009
The implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009, in private schools across the state is not being carried out properly. In this regard, we demand that the School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) immediately release a White Paper.

Our Key Demands:
1. RTE Admissions for the Academic Year 2025–26
a) The Government must clearly disclose the number of students admitted under RTE in private schools during the first and second phases.
b) The Government must also clarify the action taken regarding the 11,388 students already announced for admission.

2. Violations – Denial of Admissions
a) Even after three months since the reopening of schools, 60% of eligible students are still waiting for admissions.
b) The Government must immediately announce what decision it will take regarding the future of these students.
c) The Government must publish details of the actions taken against private schools that illegally refused admissions under RTE.

3. Illegal Collection of Fees

a) The Government must explain what action has been taken against schools that are illegally collecting tuition fees, textbook charges, uniform fees, and other charges from RTE students.

4. Parents’ Complaints
a) Hundreds of parents across the state have filed complaints with mandal, district, and state-level education officials regarding denial of admissions and illegal fee collection. The Government must disclose the actions taken in response to these complaints.

Our Clear Demand:
The School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) must immediately release a White Paper disclosing all actions taken regarding:
Implementation of the RTE Act,
Denial of admissions,
Illegal collection of fees from students.

డిమాండ్: విద్యా హక్కు చట్టం 2009 అమలు పై శ్వేతపత్రం విడుదల చేయాలి

రాష్ట్రంలోని ప్రైవేట్ పాఠశాలల్లో విద్యా హక్కు చట్టం, 2009 సక్రమంగా అమలు కావడం లేదు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ మరియు సమగ్ర శిక్ష అభియాన్ (SSA) వెంటనే శ్వేతపత్రం విడుదల చేయాలని మేము డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నాము.

మా ప్రధాన డిమాండ్లు:

1. 2025–26 విద్యా సంవత్సరం RTE అడ్మిషన్లు
a) ప్రైవేట్ పాఠశాలల్లో మొదటి మరియు రెండవ విడతలో RTE కింద ఎన్ని మంది విద్యార్థులకు అడ్మిషన్లు కల్పించారో ప్రభుత్వం స్పష్టంగా ప్రకటించాలి.
b) ఇప్పటికే ప్రకటించిన 11,388 మంది విద్యార్థుల అడ్మిషన్లు కల్పించడంలో తీసుకున్న చర్యలను ప్రభుత్వం వివరించాలి.

2. చట్ట ఉల్లంఘనలు – అడ్మిషన్ల నిరాకరణ
a) పాఠశాలలు ప్రారంభమై మూడు నెలలు అయినా, ఇప్పటికీ 60% అర్హత సాధించిన విద్యార్థులు అడ్మిషన్ల కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారు.
b) ఈ విద్యార్థుల భవిష్యత్తు విషయంలో ప్రభుత్వం ఏ నిర్ణయం తీసుకోబోతుందో తక్షణమే ప్రకటించాలి.
c) చట్టవ్యతిరేకంగా అడ్మిషన్లు ఇవ్వని ప్రైవేట్ పాఠశాలలపై ఇప్పటివరకు తీసుకున్న చర్యల వివరాలను ప్రభుత్వం బహిర్గతం చేయాలి.

3. అక్రమ ఫీజుల వసూలు
a) RTE కింద చదువుతున్న విద్యార్థుల నుండి ట్యూషన్ ఫీజులు, పాఠ్యపుస్తకాలు, యూనిఫామ్ ఫీజులు మరియు ఇతర ఫీజులు అక్రమంగా వసూలు చేస్తున్న పాఠశాలలపై తీసుకున్న చర్యలను ప్రభుత్వం స్పష్టంగా వెల్లడించాలి.

4. తల్లిదండ్రుల ఫిర్యాదులు
a) రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా వందలాది తల్లిదండ్రులు మండల, జిల్లా, రాష్ట్ర స్థాయిలో విద్యాశాఖ అధికారులకు చేసిన ఫిర్యాదులపై తీసుకున్న చర్యలు ఏమిటో ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించాలి.

మా స్పష్టమైన డిమాండ్:

పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ మరియు సమగ్ర శిక్ష అభియాన్ (SSA) వెంటనే శ్వేతపత్రం విడుదల చేసి,
విద్యా హక్కు చట్టం అమలు,
అడ్మిషన్ల నిరాకరణ,
అక్రమ ఫీజుల వసూళ్లపై తీసుకున్న చర్యలను ప్రజలకు బహిర్గతం చేయాలి.
