Geminids Meteor Shower at its peak tonight and tomorrow.🌠

The Geminids are among the most reliable and active meteor showers of the year. As Earth passes through debris left by asteroid 3200 Phaethon, bright meteors streak across the night sky, often up to 100 per hour under dark conditions.

Best observed after midnight, away from city lights.

Look up. Science is happening overhead.

સ્પેસવોક એજ્યુકેશન દ્વારા SMC શાળા ક્રમાાંક 17/19/26 અને શ્રી ખુદીરમં બોસ નગર પ્રાથમિક શાળા (42) ખાતે આયોજિત વિજ્ઞાન મેળા ના ભાગરૂપે એસ્ટ્રોનોમી અને સ્પેસ સાયન્સ શોકેસનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવયું હતું . કાર્યક્રમનું ઉદ્ઘાટન શૈલેષભાઈ શકુલ, સભ્યશ્રી, નગર પ્રાથમમક મશક્ષણ સમિતિ, સુરત દ્વારા કરવામાં આવયું.

વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ વિવિધ ટેલિસ્કોપ જોયા અને સ્પેસ ટેલિસ્કોપ વિશે સમજીને આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા.. તેઓએ ધૂમકેતુની પ્રતિકૃતિ પણ જોઈ અને સમજ્યા કે ધૂમકેતુઓ આંતરિક સૌરમંડળ તરફ કેવી રીતે આવે છે અને તેઓ કેવી રીતે લાંબી પૂંછડી વિકસાવે છે.. તેઓ રોકેટ લોન્ચ પાછળના કાયદાઓ વિશે પણ સમજ્યા.

SPACEWALK Education conducted an Astronomy Showcase for the students of Shree Khudiram Bose Primary School and SMC Schools No. 17, 19, and 26. The showcase provided students with a wonderful opportunity to deepen their understanding of space and astronomy.
This event was graced by the presence of the Chairman of SMC, Mr. Rajendrabhai Kapadiya, along with esteemed dignitaries Mr. Shaileshbhai Shukla, Mr. Hirenbhai Vyas, and Mr. Vijaybhai. Their valuable presence added great significance to the showcase, inspiring the students and encouraging their curiosity for space and astronomy.

This little plant is far tougher than it appears.

Researchers recently exposed moss spores to the harsh environment of space for nine months, yet the spores retained their vitality even after this prolonged direct exposure. This offers striking evidence that life on Earth possesses intrinsic cellular mechanisms that enable it to withstand the extreme conditions of space.

These findings open a new frontier in the effort to construct sustainable ecosystems in extraterrestrial environments such as the Moon and Mars.
