Our Neighbourhood, Our Community, Our Responsibility!

Learning came alive for our Grade 2 learners as they explored the EVS theme โ€œOur Neighbourhood & People Who Help Usโ€ through engaging observation, role-play and hands-on activities!

Our young explorers identified important places, community helpers and modern services that make our everyday lives easier. Through this experiential journey, they learned not only who helps us, but also why every role in a community matters.

Inspired by Japanese learning values, the activity nurtured Kansatsu (Observation), Tokkatsu (Special Activities), Shizen Soncho (Respect) and Kaizen (Continuous Improvement)โ€”encouraging children to observe their surroundings, appreciate the people who serve the community, work together and think of simple ways to make their neighbourhood better.

When children learn to observe, respect and improve their surroundings, they grow into responsible citizens of tomorrow.
