Cyber Crime Safety Awareness Program held in Department of
Chemistry, VNSGU
Department of Chemistry, VNSGU organized Cyber Crime safety Awareness program on 05th August,2025 to enhance the knowledge of the students and aware them about the various cyber related crimes. The objective of the program was to educate students, faculty and staff about the importance of cyber security, highlight current cyber threats and provide knowledge on best practices for staying safe online. Around 200 students and all faculties and staff
have participated in program. The program was conducted by Ms. Pratibha Rajput and other members of organising committee under the supervision of the HOD Prof. Saurabh K. Patel with the help of the other Departmental Organising committee. Police Inspector Mr. Dixit V. Gamit of Cyber Cell Surat, was the invited speaker who explained the growing risks in the digital world and shared practical
ps to prevent cyberattacks. Real-life examples and case studies were discussed to make the session more relatable and engaging. The outcome of the program is that students gained hands-on tips on securing their digital presence and have increased awareness about cyber threats and prevention on techniques and have encouraged reporting and responsible behavior in cyberspace. Participants
expressed that the program was highly informative and relevant in today’s digital age. The program was a successful initiative that fulfilled its objective of educating the academic community about the importance of staying safe online. It also highlighted the shared responsibility we all have in maintaining a secure digital environment.
