AMNSIS Teacher Among Top Five Geography Finalists

A proud moment for AMNS International School!
Mr. Somnath Mukherjee, PGT – Geography and English, has been selected among the Top Five Geography Finalists nationally at the inaugural India’s Best Teachers’ Awards 2026, presented by the Shiv Nadar Foundation and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

From 10,000+ registrations across 08 States and 08 Union Territories, 79 educators advanced to the national finalist stage. Mr. Mukherjee was the only teacher from Surat city among the five Geography finalists.

His field-based pedagogy, featuring the Tapi Estuary, Hazira industrial corridor and mobile GIS cartography, also earned an invitation to publish with the Royal Geographical Society, London.

The distinction reflects both Mr. Mukherjee’s contribution to Geography education and AMNSIS’s encouragement of innovative, field-based learning.

AMNSIS Classes I–IV Exhibition 2026: From Curiosity to Creation

The AMNSIS Classes I–IV Exhibition, held on 3 September 2026, turned familiar ideas into engaging learning experiences—from Trees and Birds to Money and Fibre to Fabric.

Class I connected trees with Maths, English, EVS, music, and dance; Class II explored birds, their adaptations, migration, and conservation; Class III followed the journey of money from barter to digital payments; and Class IV examined natural and synthetic fibres and their environmental impact.

Through experiments, stories, performances and creative presentations, our young learners explained, explored and expressed with confidence.

AMNSIS Broadens Career Horizons for Grade 9 Students

AMNS International School organised a Career Awareness Session for Grade 9 students on 25 August 2026, introducing them to emerging fields and evolving industry requirements.

The session focused on two dynamic sectors—International Trade & Logistics and Banking & Financial Services. Ms Pooja Narang, Manager- Inside Sales & Network, Logibeats Freight Services Pvt Ltd and Mr Vinit Pala, Wealth Advisor, Axis Bank, shared insights into these industries, highlighting specialised skills, emerging opportunities and the roles within them.

The interaction helped students connect their academic choices with future opportunities, offering valuable perspectives as they begin making informed decisions about their subjects and professional interests.

AMNSIS Students Step Inside the World of Power Generation

AMNS International School brought classroom Physics into the heart of industry as the students of Classes XI and XII Science visited Larsen & Toubro Limited – MHI Power Turbine Generator Plant, Hazira, on 18 August 2026. The visit offered them first hand insight into the engineering and technology behind large-scale power generation.

The students attended an expert interaction and toured the plant, where engineers demonstrated the assembly and working of large AC generators.

The experience helped students connect electromagnetism, magnetic fields, and electromagnetic induction to real-world applications, while giving them insight into industrial manufacturing, engineering practices, and workplace safety. What began as concepts on a Physics page came alive on the plant floor, giving students a clearer understanding of how scientific principles translate into powerful engineering solutions.

AMNSIS Sweeps Top Honours at Kalakriti 2026

AMNS International School made a resounding mark at Kalakriti 2026, hosted by Fountainhead School, Surat, on 22 August 2026, securing a spectacular hat-trick of 1st positions in Music Band, Choir and Solo Singing – Senior Group.

Music Band – 1st Position

The AMNSIS Music Band delivered an exceptional performance, earning praise from the judges for its musical finesse, discipline and stage confidence.

Choir – 1st Position

The AMNSIS Choir earned the top honour with a performance marked by precision, coordination and expressive musicality.

Solo Singing – Senior Group – 1st Position

Mrunaja Datar (VIII-C), Saumya Kulkarni (IX-B), Adrija Mandal (VI-D) and Ashbel Thomas (IV-B) represented AMNSIS in the solo category.

The Visual Arts contingent added a creative dimension to the event, exploring varied themes, techniques and artistic perspectives.

AMNSIS Classes V–VII Exhibition 2026: From Past to Progress

On 21 August 2026, AMNS International School, Hazira transformed its Classes V–VII Exhibition into an exploration of movement, civilisation and enterprise.

Class V traced transport and trade from the Silk Route and ancient networks to modern road, rail, water and airways, while uncovering the science of motion, aerodynamics and buoyancy.

Class VI created a Mini Museum of the Ancient World, taking visitors through India, Greece and Rome and their enduring contributions to heritage, mathematics, mythology, medicine and engineering.
Class VII traced India’s journey from Swadeshi to Make in India, spotlighting textiles, agriculture, food preservation and Surat’s diamond industry, while connecting indigenous skills with contemporary innovation.

From routes that bridged distant lands to knowledge that shaped civilisations and enterprise that powers India’s growth, the exhibition offered a glimpse of young minds learning to question, connect and create with purpose.

AMNSIS Quizzers Secure Runners-Up at TCS InQuizitive Regional Quiz

AMNS International School made its mark at the TCS InQuizitive Regional Quiz in Ahmedabad on 12 August 2026, with Laksh Jain (Class XI) and Atharv Tripathi (Class X) powering their way to the Runners-Up Trophy!

Out of 233 teams from 32 schools across Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Anand, the AMNSIS duo first broke into the Top 6 and then held their ground through the regional round with sharp recall, quick thinking and confidence.

Their achievement was further recognised with ₹15,000 gift vouchers awarded to each student, while the quiz was also featured on the TCSGlobal YouTube channel.

AMNSIS Marks Independence Day with Culture, Knowledge and Innovation

A day where patriotism met creativity, culture met knowledge, and tradition met innovation!

AMNS International School celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with pride and purpose. The celebrations began with the ceremonial flag hoisting by Principal Ms. Sunita Matoo, followed by a stirring patriotic musical presentation and an inspiring address by Ms. Rashmi Dewan, Coordinator & HOD English.

Students brought India’s rich cultural tapestry alive through vibrant performances of Kathputli, Terah Taali, Ghoomar, Bhangra, Gondhal and Lezim, while Hindi and English speeches explored the deeper meaning of freedom, citizenship and responsibility.

The Knowledge & Skills Exhibition showcased the India of tomorrow, with students from Classes VIII–XII presenting innovative ideas across Languages, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Commerce, Computer Science and Humanities. From sustainable development and AI to hydrogen energy, a Medibot, gesture-controlled automation, a saluting robot and the geopolitics of the ocean, young minds demonstrated that learning becomes powerful when it moves beyond the classroom.

A celebration of the freedom we inherited, the knowledge we create, and the responsibility we carry to shape India’s future.

AMNSIS Crowned West Zonal Champions at INCA Map Quiz 2026

A remarkable victory for AMNS International School at the INCA Map Quiz West Zone 2026 held on 09 August 2026!

Competing against 100+ qualifying teams across Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad, our 9 teams showcased exceptional geographical knowledge, map-reading skills and spatial thinking.

Atharv Tripathi (X-B), Mann Trivedi (X-C) and Kanak Jain (X-C) emerged as West Zonal Champions, earning a place in the National Round. Adding to the celebration, Shravya Patel(X-B), Jatan Mody (X-B) and Shloka Choksi (X-B) secured 7th place, while Aaradhya Jain (X-A), Krishna Kumar Bhatt(X-A) and Jihan Patel (X-A) finished 10th, placing three AMNSIS teams in the Top 10.

A fourth West Zonal title—and another milestone in our journey of excellence.

AMNSIS Parenting Workshop Builds Empathy and Understanding

What if behaviour is not misbehaviour, but a message waiting to be understood?

Through “Little Hands, Big Hearts”, the Wellness Department brought LKG parents into meaningful conversations around children’s emotional and developmental needs on 06 August 2026.

Through scenarios, reflection and discussion, parents explored behaviour as communication, learning through observation, free play, independence and the importance of respecting individual differences.

The session encouraged parents to pause before reacting, understand the need behind a behaviour, model positive responses and give children space to explore, choose and solve.

The takeaway was simple: “Pause–Think–Respond.”
Because empathetic parenting begins with understanding before responding.
