The culmination of every postgraduate journey is marked by a moment of reflection, critical inquiry, and professional dialogue. On 21st and 22nd May 2026, the Master of Planning (Urban & Regional Planning) and Master of Architecture (Urban Design) students at MS-IDPT presented their final thesis work before an eminent panel of academicians and practitioners.
We were privileged to host:
• Dr. C. N. Ray – Professor, LJ University, Ahmedabad
• Ar. Sapna Kothari – Renowned Conservation Architect, Vadodara
The thesis jury provided a valuable platform for students to present the outcomes of months of intensive research, design exploration, field investigations, and critical thinking. The discussions extended beyond academic evaluation, fostering meaningful exchanges on contemporary urban challenges, heritage conservation, design innovation, sustainability, and the evolving role of planners and architects in shaping resilient communities.
The insightful observations, constructive critiques, and professional perspectives shared by the jury members enriched the learning experience and encouraged students to critically evaluate their work within broader social, cultural, environmental, and professional contexts.
At MS-IDPT, we believe that thesis reviews serve not merely as an assessment exercise but as an important bridge between academia and professional practice. Such engagements prepare our students to confidently enter the profession as thoughtful urban planners, urban designers, researchers, and future leaders of the built environment sector.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. C. N. Ray and Ar. Sapna Kothari for their valuable time, expertise, and encouragement. Their contributions made the jury a truly enriching academic experience. Thanks to . Hardik Gandhi & Prof. Kuldeep Sinh Jadeja for coordination and ex*****on.
Congratulations to all graduating M.Plan. and M.Arch. students for successfully completing this significant milestone in their academic journey. We wish them continued success as they embark upon the next chapter of their professional careers.
