“So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay” – Robert Frost.
The great lines of wisdom, jotted down almost a century ago, teaches us that adaptability and innovation are the crux for sustainability. Truly, nothing gold can stay if we fail to reflect upon our achievements, shortcomings and practices. We, at AARTH, are committed to this cause and are on a constant pursuit to adapt, re-invent, evolve and innovate our teaching and learning methodologies so that we remain the quintessential IB School.
In line with such a thought ,we conducted a feedback session with one of the primary stakeholders of our institution- The parents. Our institution opened its gates during the difficult of times and circumstances- Pandemic, Online classrooms, Primary learners etc. These challenges made us more resilient and we put our best foot forward. We were eager to know the perspectives of the parents on the efforts that we put forth in making a difference in the life of the students.
The overwhelmingly positive responses were indeed a boost to our morale and it re-affirmed our commitment to the cause and efforts.
Thank you parents for your trust in us and your continued support and encouragement!!
We invite all prospective parents to be a part of the Aarth experience. Allow your child/ward to experience the difference, as we make learning much more enjoyable and rewarding without compromising on values.

Admissions open for the academic year 2022-23 from Nursery to Grade 6
Kids of Nursery Jasper, have enhanced their language skills during the fun filled Language Lab session. They became Language Detectives, put their magnifying glasses on and went out on a search for words with Jolly Phonics Group 1 (s, a, t, p, i, n), Group 2 (c/k, e, h, r, m, d) and Group 3 (g, o) letter sounds. They enthusiastically looked through magazines, newspapers, books and found several words and also objects like guitar for /g/, lemon for /l/, mickey (soft toy) and monkey for /m/, etc. To further enhance their knowledge about the letters, the students created different letters using clay and blocks. They developed their fine motor skills as well as they used markers and crayons to colour the letters of their names.

"Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." - Harold R. McAlindon.
Under the leadership of Ms. Jyothi Nair, Aarth Universal School has embarked on a journey to revolutionize education. From inception, Ms. Jyothi's wealth of experience and knowledge has guided our path. Under her mentorship, we have achieved one of the most important milestones of being a PYP Candidate school. Going further, we look forward to achieving many more such milestones.
With this thought in mind, we are excited to bestow additional responsibilities on our exceptional PYP Coordinator, Ms. Jyothi Nair.
With great pride and trust, we endow Ms. Jyothi Nair, the responsibility of PYP Principal, Aarth Universal School.
Acknowledging her enormous contributions, we congratulate her on the appointment and assure her of our support as we take up the challenges that lie ahead of us.

"In the Library class, our Grades 2 and 3 students are ready to enhance their artistic expression in their writing skills.
In the first step of creative writing, the Grade 2 students created different characters for their stories, sketched them, and named them. They described the character, discussed the characteristics of their characters and how they move through the story. The students then started off with writing their story using these characters.
The Grade 3 students were enthusiastic about getting an opportunity to write on things they had collected from the garden or observed during the session. They collected flowers, leaves, etc.. They described the objects, and explained why they picked them up and what they actually liked about them. The children then weaved imaginary stories revolving around the things they chose. For eg. A magical leaf which I saw in my dream, A beautiful flower given by a fairy, etc.
Though it was a bit tough for our Grades 2-3 students to put their thoughts on paper, they diligently worked on it and had a lot of fun writing these stories."

Happiness, joy, cheering for each other and enthusiasm for participation - that’s how we, Aarth Universal School, celebrated our first ever Sports Meet “Liga De Deportes - खेलों का उत्सव”.
Arthur Ashe, one of the best tennis players of all time once said, “You are never really playing an opponent. You are playing yourself, your own highest standards, and when you reach your limits, that is a real joy”, and with the same spirit of 'participating, and not competing', our little ones took part and enjoyed the event to its fullest.
The races that were planned for students were not just fun but also educational. As students successfully segregated living and non-living things, completed puzzles related to Sustainable Development Goals, we couldn’t be more proud of our little learners! Some of the fun races included Little Santas gathering gifts and riding on their scooters, blowing and bursting balloons, juggling and balancing through different obstacles like bricks, hula hoops, hurdles, etc. It was a joyful moment to see our Nursery-Junior students enthusiastically pack their bags as part of their Fun Race, ‘School, here we come!’ This Sports Event was a wonderful opportunity for students to practise teamwork and collaboration and above all, demonstrate the Learner Profile Attribute Risk-taker as they stepped out of their comfort zone and achieved success.
To add more joy to it, the parents got an opportunity to relive their childhood as we had fun races like Hocus Pocus, a pair race where parents had to work with needle and thread and Scrambled Legs, another pair race where their legs were tied with each other. The highlight of the event was Tug of War where parents and teachers were pitted against each other, and as students had a hard time deciding who to cheer for, it was a joy to behold!
With teamwork, co-operation and best efforts of our amazing team members this event was a huge success and we look forward to celebrating many more events like this with our kids and parents, as we grow as a family!

Last Saturday was a learning day for the teachers at Aarth. Our teachers Ms Rachana, Ms Aayushi and our Dance specialist, Ms Aashka Desai led this learning session.
We kick started our day with a session on Social Emotional Learning for kids.Today, in an ever-diversifying world, the classroom is the place where students are often first exposed to people who hail from a range of different backgrounds, hold differing beliefs, and have unique capabilities. To account for these differences and help put all students on an equal footing to succeed, our teachers are working on our Happiness Curriculum as an approach towards students' Social Emotional Learning. This helps students better understand their thoughts and emotions, to become more self-aware, and to develop more empathy for others within their community and the world around them. We reflected on the topics we addressed in the first term as part of our Happiness curriculum. Sitting in our grade groups, we discussed the same and shared our experience with other grades. We looked into the topics for the second term, discussed how the topics would be integrated within our current and upcoming units. We shared our ideas and strategies with each other on how we can support our children in SEL.
Later that day Ms Aashka Desai conducted a workshop for the teachers educating them about various educational games and activities. Ms Aashka took this opportunity to share her learning from a Dance workshop with the rest of the team.
Through this fun, interactive session, teachers took on the role of students and played various games and engaged in various activities in connection with different subjects like Maths, Language, Visual Arts, etc. The teachers had a lot of fun playing these fun games and reflected on how these games could be used in different contexts and units in their classrooms.
With Primary students coming back to school, these sessions on SEL and the physical games helped the teachers plan interesting lessons in connection to their subjects and units and better equip themselves to develop the social-emotional skills of the students.

"Learning multiple languages
Being familiar with multiple languages improves your communication skills, gives you access to both cultures, and makes you more tolerant and open to others. The ability to communicate in different languages gives you the freedom to learn about, as well as become part of, other cultures, traditions, and social behaviors.
At AUS, play-based learning is what we focus on.
Here we have our Grade 3 students learning numbers in Spanish in a playful manner. As they hop and jump on the number, they call out the numbers. They also practiced mathematical calculations while reciting numbers in Spanish. This learning of various concepts through games made the learning more engaging and the students were enthusiastically participating in this learning engagement.
Taking into consideration the interest of our Grade 4-5 students in drawing and painting, the learning of colour names in Spanish was planned through an art activity. They drew rainbows and designed flags of their choice and practiced naming the colours in Spanish."

“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” - Margaret Fuller
Grade 2 students finally had their first offline DEAR time session and they thoroughly enjoyed their reading time during the session.
The Drop Everything And Read time is where the students read books based on their choice and develop their reading skills. The students are guided to read according to their reading level and their reading skills are observed, assessed and further guided during the DEAR session.
Our class library has a collection of books suitable for the students’ grade and reading level. The students selected books to read based on their personal interest during the session from our class library. To reflect and show their understanding of the book they had read, the students updated their DEAR Log by responding to a question of their choice.
