All Bollywood movies have Larger than Life heroes.
In the movie Main Hoon Na, the hero is a not an ordinary guy. He is smart, handsome, talented. He can fight with 10 people at the same time and still come out laughing and girls always love him. He is an ideal family man and a patriotic army officer also.
And its strange that people buy this unreal image as a reality in a movie because people aspire to become a hero in their lives as well.
Don’t you want to as well?
We aspire to come up to the expectations of everyone around us and excel on all areas of our life.
I see many people who are successful in Business but a total failure in their relationships. I see many others who have great relationships but their health is not okay.
Very rarely do I come across anybody who has successful excelled in all areas of his life i.e. Health, Wealth, Relations, Hobbies and Spirituality.
The quesiton therefore is:
How can we become larger than life in our lives?
Look for balance in life not in days but in months. Often people feel that an ideal day should be where I can do my office work, come back home spend amazing time with family, go 2 hours to the gym and play my guitar.
In Reality in today’s demanding work environment the above scenario is indeed very difficult.
Instead of searching balance in days, search for balance in a week. Plan that ideal Sunday with your family and friends. Or go for a spiritual retreat once every 3 months. Take those music classes every evening after you come from office.
Balance in life can come if you can give priorities to do everything over a long period of time.
I would say success blinds you with greed. In the quest to become better and achieve more and more, people neglect everything.

Is being successful about being more smart or more talented or more hardworking?
There are so many talented people working hard who are not successful.
Why?
What is that one factor in success that differentiates the best from the rest.
That Factor is FOCUS.
There is a popular saying, that instead of digging up 10 holes at 10 different places you should make one hole so deep that you can get water out of it.
The whole philosophy of Time Management in the modern world is flawed because what is more important than Time Management is Focus Management.
The issue in today’s world is that there are so many things that are vying for our attention all the time that it is very difficult to do two things
1. Decide what exactly it is that you want out of an abundance of options be it career, personal,
2. Focus on that option and shutting out all the unnecessary things.
And there are three things which bring focus in our lives:
1. CLARITY OF WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE
2. URGENCY TO GET TO THAT POINT
3. Right and Supportive environment to aid us in achieving our goal.
I have found this one common factor that diffentiates the winners from the average performers. And that one factor is SINGLE MINDED FOCUS.
Why do most people fail to achieve their goals? They set our very enthusiastically in the beginning but any moment when the going gets tough, when they are not able to get the desired results, they just quit because they are NOT FOCUSSED.
Even a small drop of water falling continuously on a stone can dissolve it. Imagine the potential of this human life if only we could learn to FOCUS.
There is not black and white in the real world and there is no right and wrong. Sometimes you just have to trust your gut and take that plunge.
