Acid Base Reaction..

HCl+NaOH = Salt + Water

This experiment can be done using Phenolphthalein solution as indicator...

Phenolphthalein solution gives pink colour to basic solution but is transparent in neutral and Acidic solution...

So in this experiment we take basic Solution and then added acidic solution untill the pink colour vanished...a this indicates that solution has turned neutral now...
.
Which means the solution contains salt and water now and it is neutral solution.. not acidic not basic..
