Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Sumbal

As a part of scheduled activities under NMBA, a group awareness song was showcased by the students of HSS Sumbal today on 14th May 2026.

Government Model Higher Secondary School Sumbal organized a guest lecture today as part of the calendar scheduled by the Worthy Lieutenant Governor of UT Jammu & Kashmir. During the morning assembly, students were sensitized about drug abuse and its harmful effects.

Mr. Nazir Ahmad Reshi, President of the Citizens Council of Sonawari delivered an insightful lecture on drug addiction. He urged students to take an active role in eradicating the drug menace from society.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by student Owais Ahmad of Class 11th. The proceedings were conducted by Mr. Showkat Ahmad Khanday, Cultural Coordinator of HSS Sumbal.

The Head of the Institution concluded the programme with a formal vote of thanks to the esteemed guest speaker.

Drug Awareness Rally (5th May)

A drug awareness rally was organized today on 5th May outside the school premises to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. Students participated enthusiastically, carrying placards and raising slogans promoting a drug-free society.

The rally aimed to educate the general public and encourage everyone to take a stand against drug abuse.
