*Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan – 100 Days Campaign*

In pursuance of the nationwide initiative Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a topic-based competition was meticulously organized at *Government MS Gratwalipora* as part of the ongoing 100-day campaign aimed at eradicating substance abuse and fostering awareness among the younger generation.

*Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan – Awareness Programme*

As per the scheduled programme, an awareness initiative under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was successfully conducted at Middle School Gratwalipora with great enthusiasm and active participation.

On this occasion, the Worthy SDM Kokernag graced the event and threw light on the alarming rise of substance abuse and its adverse impact on individuals, families, and society at large. He emphasized the collective responsibility of the community, especially the youth, in building a drug-free and healthy society.

The Tehsildar Kokernag, BDO Kokernag, and the Community Health Officer also addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights regarding the causes, consequences, and preventive measures related to drug abuse. They highlighted the importance of awareness, early intervention, and community involvement in combating this menace.

Students and staff members actively participated in the programme, making it a meaningful and impactful event. Such initiatives play a crucial role in sensitizing society and encouraging individuals to lead a life free from addiction.

** Experiment on Water Infiltration Rate**

On the 5th day of Rashtriya Avishkar Saptah (Water Conservation Week), an experiment to determine the water infiltration rate was successfully conducted in MS GRATWALIPORA as per the scheduled activity calendar.
The objective of the activity was to demonstrate the process of water infiltration and groundwater recharge. During the experiment, students observed how water percolates into the soil and understood the importance of maintaining healthy soil conditions for effective groundwater recharge.
Through this practical activity, students measured the rate at which water seeps into the soil and gained knowledge about soil absorption capacity, the effects of soil compaction, and the scientific principles underlying groundwater recharge.
The students actively participated with great enthusiasm and curiosity. Such hands-on learning activities contribute significantly to the development of scientific temper, practical understanding, and environmental awareness among learners.
The programme was conducted successfully and fulfilled its intended educational objectives.

🌊 Exposure Visit to Water Conservation Site 🌿
As per the scheduled activities under Rashtriya Avishkar Saptah (Water Conservation Week), an educational trip to a nearby natural spring and water conservation site was successfully conducted by MS Gratwalipora.
During the visit, students were sensitized about the importance of conserving water, protecting natural springs, and adopting sustainable practices for groundwater recharge. They were guided to understand how springs are recharged through rainfall and how deforestation, pollution, and misuse can affect these precious water sources.
Students actively participated, took a pledge to save water, and observed practical conservation measures at the site. The activity aimed to create environmental awareness and instill a sense of responsibility among young learners towards protecting natural resources.
Such initiatives help in connecting classroom learning with real-life environmental issues and encourage students to become ambassadors of water conservation in their community.

The campaign aimed to sensitize students and community members about the importance of conserving water, adopting sustainable practices, and protecting this vital natural resource for future generations. Students actively participated in spreading awareness through discussions and community outreach activities.

Rashtriya Avishkar Sapthah (Water Conservation Week)
On the 2nd day of Rashtriya Avishkar Sapthah (Water Conservation Week), a rech arge pit for groundwater recharge is constructed at MS Gratwalipora as per the scheduled activity calendar.
The activity is carried out with the active participation of teachers and students. The purpose of constructing the recharge pit is to conserve rainwater and improve groundwater levels in the school premises.
This initiative will help create awareness among students about sustainable water management and the importance of conserving natural resources.
