*Srinagar, April 2026* – On the directions of Mr Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat, Chief Education Officer Srinagar,*Ms Anjum Raja* District Education Planning Officer Srinagar,carried out a detailed academic monitoring and audit of several PM SHRI Schools in District Srinagar to strengthen quality education at the foundational level.
*Ms. Anjum Raja* stressed the important role of parents in a child’s education and commended the school’s work under the *PM SHRI initiative*. *Ms. Taranum Saleem* emphasized the need for *innovative teaching methods* and *regular evaluation* to improve learning outcomes.
DEPO Srinagar visited *PM SHRI Girls Middle School Panzinara* for an academic audit. She was accompanied by *Mr. Mohammad Yousuf, Cluster Head*, *Ms. Nighat Ara, ZEO Batmallo*, and a team from *DIET Srinagar* including *Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Ms. Muniza Jan, Mr. Mohammad Shafi Dar, and Mr. Nazir Ahmad Dar*.
The team carried out a *careful and systematic evaluation* based on the *National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS)* guidelines. They thoroughly checked the school’s readiness and teaching practices for *Foundation Stage-1*.
Ms. Anjum Raja, along with the experts, also discussed various *new teaching methods* that can be adopted in classrooms. She stressed that *PM SHRI Schools serve as model schools* for others by focusing on *inquiry-based and experiential learning, skill development, and digital literacy*. These schools act as hubs for *holistic development* and also mentor nearby schools to build an *educated, skilled, and innovative ‘Amrit Peedhi’*.
With this visit, the *academic audit of all PM SHRI Schools in District Srinagar has been successfully completed*.
She closely observed the *Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) levels* of students, the *teaching methods* used by teachers, and the *active participation of students* in the classroom. She appreciated the students’ learning progress as well as the effective teaching practices adopted by the educators.
