Srinagar | April 09, 2026 - The Kashmir Schools Federation, in its board meeting held today in Srinagar, has officially appointed Allayee Faizan as the Secretary of the Federation.
The decision was taken unanimously by the board in recognition of Mr. Faizan’s long-standing association with the organization and his consistent dedication and commitment to its objectives. Having worked closely with the Federation over an extended period, he has demonstrated sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility towards addressing issues related to the education sector.
The Kashmir Schools Federation plays a crucial role in addressing a wide range of concerns pertaining to schools, including matters related to teachers, students’ welfare, and other administrative and academic issues. The Federation continues to act as a vital platform for resolving challenges faced by educational institutions across the region.
It is noteworthy that the position of Secretary assigned to Mr. Faizan
The Federation expressed confidence that under his role as Secretary, Mr. Faizan will continue to contribute effectively towards strengthening the organization’s efforts in serving the educational community.

DSEK notifies new school schedule for Kashmir division
Srinagar, Sep 30 : The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has announced revised school timings for both government and private institutions across the region, effective from October 3.
As per the official directive issued by Director General G.N. Itoo, schools located within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Meanwhile, institutions situated outside these municipal boundaries are instructed to function from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The changes apply uniformly to all government and recognized private schools across the Kashmir Division, according to the notification
