Schools reopened today after the winter break across the Kashmir Division, marking the beginning of a renewed academic session.
Director School Education Kashmir, Naseer Ahmad Wani, joined students in the morning prayer at Government Higher Secondary School Bijbehara and prayed for their success and for 2026 to truly become a year of academic excellence. He welcomed students with flowers and encouraged them to begin the session with renewed focus, discipline, and clear goals.
He also visited Higher Secondary School Nihama Kulgam and Higher Secondary School Letpora Pulwama , motivating students and reaffirming that the collective efforts of teachers, students, parents, and administrators will make 2026 a landmark year for education across Kashmir Division. 🌸📚

*DSEK Brings Education to Doorsteps in Far-Flung area of Uri Sector*
*121 Students Enrolled On-Spot During Mega Drive at Kamalkote*
*DSEK, Srinagar | 25 November 2025:*
Director School Education Kashmir, *Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani*, today led a mega enrolment drive in the far-flung *Kamal Kote area of Uri sector*, reaffirming the department’s commitment to ensuring last-mile access to quality education across Kashmir division.
The department conducted *doorstep enrolments*, enabling children from remote hamlets to receive immediate admission. A special function was organised at Boys High School Kamalkote, Zone Jhulla, where around 121 students were enrolled on the spot by DSEK.
In his address, Mr. Wani expressed satisfaction over the overwhelming response from parents across the region. He urged all *CEOs and ZEOs* of Kashmir Division to ensure *timely registration of new students on the DSEK portal*.
He further stated that the first phase of the enrolment drive will conclude on 29th of this month, after which the second phase will begin, ensuring continuous outreach across all zones. Students of the area also presented vibrant cultural performances reflecting their local traditions.
During his visit to Uri sector, the Director conducted a surprise inspection of the ongoing examination centre at Higher Secondary School Sultan Dhaki. He also visited GHS Kamalkote to review infrastructure needs, and later interacted with students and staff at KGBV Salamabad, assuring them full academic support.
DSEK was accompanied by CEO Baramulla, Altaf Hussain Tara.
The event at Kamalkote was successfully organised through the collective efforts of the Zonal Education Office, Jhulla.

*Dr. Iqbal Hussain Mir(JKAS)*, Personnel Officer at DSEK, visited multiple examination centres in *District Budgam*, reviewed arrangements, interacted with students and staff, and expressed satisfaction over the conduct of examinations.
