On 21st May 2026, Govt. Boys High School Waripora Bala organized an awareness programme on Stress Management and Coping Skills under the banner of Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan. The programme aimed to educate students about healthy ways to manage stress and to protect them from negative habits and substance abuse.
The activity was conducted in the school premises with active participation from students . The programme began with an introduction highlighting the importance of mental health and emotional well-being in students’ lives. Teacher lone bilal sir, explained that stress is a normal part of life, but it should be managed in positive and healthy ways rather than through harmful activities.
During the session, students were guided about different coping skills such as positive thinking, regular exercise, meditation, time management, and sharing problems with parents, teachers, or friends. The speakers also emphasized the importance of self-confidence, discipline, and maintaining good company. Students were encouraged to engage in sports, reading, creative activities, and other productive hobbies to reduce stress and improve their mental health.
The Head of the Institution addressed the students and stressed that awareness and strong willpower are essential to staying away from drugs and other harmful habits. He motivated students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and become responsible members of society.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion where students shared their views and experiences. Overall, the activity proved to be highly informative and beneficial, helping students understand the importance of stress management, emotional balance, and leading a healthy, drug-free life.
