With deep sorrow, it is shared that the mother of the late Jibreil Jameel (IITM student) passed away on 22nd April 2026 in Mumbai. She was a woman of remarkable humility, grace, and generosity.
In loving memory of her beloved son, she established the Jibreil Memorial Scholarship at our institute, a noble initiative that reflects her compassion and dedication to the betterment of others.
I would also like to share with the IITM fraternity a deeply moving memory— she called from the hospital and said, “Send the account number, bachu ko fee bharna hoga.” Even in such a difficult time, her commitment to helping students never wavered.
May Allah grant her the highest مقام in Jannatul Firdaus, forgive her shortcomings and bless her with eternal peace. May Allah also grant maghfirat to Jibreil Jameel. Ameen
