This hadith teaches Allah’s immense mercy. A believer is not sinful merely because unwanted thoughts, doubts, temptations, or whispers (waswasah) pass through the mind. A person is only accountable if they:
• Act upon those sinful thoughts, or
• Deliberately speak or express them.

So, if an evil or disturbing thought enters your mind and you reject it without acting on it or speaking it, there is no sin upon you. In fact, resisting such whispers can be a sign of sincere faith.
