Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar celebrated the 77th Republic Day.
Our Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Yasmeen Farooq, unfurled the national flag and inspected the ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by NCC cadets, as the national anthem echoed in the background.
Teaching and non-teaching staff of the college was present on the occasion. In her address, Prof. Yasmeen emphasized the importance of the day, underlining the need to uphold the constitutional and democratic ideals of the country.

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar, organized a one-day Documentary Screening-cum-Discussion event in collaboration with Film South Asia (FSA) on 29th October 2025.
