NOTIFICATION
Covid-19 has created not just a health emergency but has affected all spheres of life. One of the worst hit has been the education sector. Classes have been suspended and exams at different levels postponed.
The Department of School Education, acknowledging the fact that the students are the most precious asset of any nation and their Education needs not to be compromised at any cost, has undertaken the task of Education continuity and opted for various remote learning options including delivering education through online teaching, digital access to e-learning materials available at websites of Directorate Of School Education Kashmir and State Institute of Education Kashmir, video classes, distribution of assignments-cum-tutorials, teaching through radio and television.
All these efforts aim at ensuring that learning is not disrupted and to militate against the negative effects that are associated with prolonged periods of school closure. The teachers have shown great dedication during this whole process and their role is laudable.
In order to assess the initiatives taken by the Department and to improve the teaching-learning process during these hard days when schools are closed, the Department has decided to conduct an ONLINE assessment to test the effectiveness of these initiatives.
In the first instance the class 8th students shall take part in the said process as per the following time schedule from their home. All Chief Education Officers / Principal DIETS shall ensure the maximum participation of the students.

The students need to have the following information available with them on the scheduled date.
1. Form Code (Which shall be communicated to CEOs / Principal DIETs separately)
2. UDISE Code, Name of the Complex Head, Educational Zone
3. Gmail User-ID and Password (For login, if prompted).
The link for the assessment shall be available on official website of SIE, Kashmir at www.siekashmir.in

One Day Workshop on Teaching Learning Process conducted at Govt. Girls Hr. Secondary School, Kothi Bagh today on 13th December, 2018.
The aim of the workshop is to acquaint the teachers with latest trends in Teaching-Learning Process and new Pedagogical Skills.
Mr. M.P Vijaya Kumar, Retd IAS delivering the lecture. The Workshop is being organised by State Institute of Education, Kashmir under Samagra Shiksha. Participants from each district of Kashmir Division participated in the workshop. Mr. Mehboob Hussain, JD(Trgs)/ Principal, SIE, Kashmir was also present in the event.
