“Hard work pays off” never sounded as right as it did in the case of JKPSC CCE 2022 cracker Namiya Azad, who did not give up despite failures and struggles. This significant achievement brings pride and honor not only to her school but also to the entire alma mater community.

Flourishing in the digital age demands great adaptability and skill, and Mushafiq Sharief has amply shown he possesses both in spades.
In recognition of his adaptability and skills, Mushafiq has got his masters in Digital Games at TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences in Germany with a full scholarship.

We are happy to announce the Executive Committee of DPS Srinagar Alumni Association, selected and elected by you all.
The new executive committee members are:
1. Ms. Afreen Hyder as your President
2. Ms. Maleeha Zainab as the Secretary
3. Mr. Shariq Bakshi as the Joint Secretary
4. Dr. Mir Uzair ul Haq is the Treasurer

Even when he was still a student at DPS Srinagar, Khalid knew clearly what he wanted to do with his life: contribute back to society. As a dipsite graduate, he was counted among average, shy and silent students but the free and stimulating environment at DPS Srinagar allowed him to explore many different faces of himself. Khalid was always interested in science and thus paved the way for studying engineering later.

A talented and diligent student, Hazika has always managed to stay on top of her game. From the very beginning, she has been laser focused and goal oriented. Hazika moved to the United States in August this year to follow her passion for economics where she is doing her Master’s in Financial Economics at Bowling Green State University, on scholarship.

Izhan Javeed (Batch 2012) is a pragmatic entrepreneur, he transformed his knowledge and expertise into the two things he is passionate about - technology and Agri-revolution. He is a committed entrepreneur who overcomes all the hurdles he faces with his mental strength and experience.
He did his Masters in Operations, Projects and Supply Chain Management from University of Manchester. After graduating with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Izhan could have easily built a successful corporate career for himself. However, he had chosen this subject for a different reason. "I knew the potential in Kashmir’s horticulture business," he explains. "And this skill magnified my entrepreneurial spirit."
Izhan’s latest brainchild, is breaking new grounds by using AI based technology to monitor supply chain activities and providing Horticulture Inputs. As the Executive Director and co-founder of Orchadly, Izhan is impressively pioneering the frontiers of J&K’s horticulture ecosystem and proving his mettle as a social entrepreneur.
From his experience, Izhan admonishes people who wish to be entrepreneurs to start while they are young, do what they love, and ensure that in their endeavors, they are solving social problems. His shining passion for environmental sustainability laudably reflects the culture of DPS Srinagar to innovate, create, and trust in oneself to overcome challenges to success.

Muskan Shafat, a DPS Srinagar alum, is a Data Scientist passionate about designing AI to create a more equitable world for all. Muskan graduated from Stanford University in 2021 with a BA in Political Science, focusing in Data Science and Economic Development. She spent the last year of her undergraduate studies at University of Oxford, studying AI, Business Studies and South Asian Philosophy. While at Stanford, Muskan was elected the first Muslim President of Stanford South Asian Society and held other instrumental positions across organisations like Stanford in Government, The Stanford Fund and the Stanford Daily. She also collaborated with professors in different departments including the Computer Science and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Muskan received the prestigious Award of Excellence from Stanford as top 10% of the graduating class for her “sincere commitment to the university through involvement, leadership and extraordinary Stanford spirit.” Currently, Muskan is awaiting results for MSc in Data & Society, Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science where her research focused on understanding disclosure in virtual spaces to inform design changes that could make the virtual world, such as the Metaverse, more just. She hopes to continue to use her skills to make a positive real world impact, credited to her parents’ (Mr Shafat Sultan and Mrs Omera Shafat) commitment to service and guidance by mentors like Mr Vijay Dhar who consistently supported her academic aspirations. Muskan truly believes in the power of education and is eternally grateful for the opportunities that DPS Srinagar opened to her during her formative educational years.
