On 24/08/2024 a group of students of classes 8th to 10th visited a book festival held at SKICC Srinagar. The visit was aimed to promote reading habits among students and provide exposure to a wide range of literary works. The festival featured a vast collection of books of different tastes exhibited on different stalls. The stalls were organised with various sections, making it easy for visitors to navigate and find books of their interests.
This visit was an enriching experience for the students offering them a chance to explore books beyond their curriculum.

Few days ago our institute organised an open art interclass "art competition " in which the students participated with vigour and enthusiasm. The talented students displayed their creativity skills .The participating students were given different themes which allowed them to think with wide range of artistic expression. The whole program was co-ordinated by a panel of judges who themselves are skilled artists. The judges were impressed by the level of talent and the diversity of ideas presented by the students .

Our institute organised a day picnic on 22/08/2024 . Classes 6th to 12th participated in the event. The trip was eagerly anticipated by the students . The day began early with everyone gathering at school. The trip started at 06:45 am. Classes 6th to 8th were taken to Kokernag. The journey to Kokernag was filled with excitement, students chanting and sharing joyful moments. Upon arrival, the lush green gardens, flowers , Alpine trees and murmuring waters of Kokernag greeted students and the staff with their breathtaking beauty. Student spent the day exploring the gardens , playing games and had a lot of fun . A special highlight of the day was the picnic lunch , where everyone relished the delicious food brought from home . At the end of the trip and on the way back to school, the students expressed their joy and satisfaction . The trip was a resounding success, providing the students with a refreshing break from their routine work . The escorting staff took great care of the students from beginning to end .

Senior students (9th to 12th classes) were taken to Verinag. On the way the students were very excited. It gave them a refreshing break from academic routines and to allow them to experience the natural beauty and tranquility of the spot. Upon arrival at Verinag, the students and staff selected a comfortable spot near the famous spring which is the source of river jhelum. The day was filled with various activities designed to ensure everyone had a great time .Lunch was the highlight of the day with everyone sharing homemade delicious dishes which fostered a sense of connectivity and togetherness. This trip provided an opportunity for relaxation, enjoyment, excitement and bonding in one string.

Our Institute organised a very thrilling and excited preliminary three days swimming course for 2nd and 3rd boys commenced today on 12-08-24.The program was inaugurated by the inestimable hands of esteemed principal along with the vice principal/coordinator and headmaster of the institute. Mrs. Rehana senior faculty member and P.E.T of the Institute was also present on occasion. The Institute has hired two certified national level swimming instructors to train the students about the basics of the course. The program started at 10.30 a.m and was culminated at 2.00 p.m.The students were enthusiastic, excited and vigorous. This program aims to enhance and to explore the talent of students apart from the usual classwork and to break the monotony. The parents of the students highly appreciated this move of the Institute and requested that such physical outdoor activities should continue to create a good taste and interest among students.

"Every lap you swim is a step closer to your goals. In the water, you learn that effort and persistence will always keep you afloat, not just in the pool, but in life."

Qirat and Naat competition for classes 9th to 12th was organised by IMI +2 Wing Girls on 5 August, 2024.The proceedings started with the recitation of few verses from Holy Quran by Mr. Owais (Lecturer Physics) followed by a mesmerising naat which was presented by Mr. Mehraj-ud-Din ( Lecturer Chemistry).
This was followed by the welcome address which was presented by respected Principal Ma'am. She highlighted the harmful effects of drugs and other societal issues. She urged the students to stay away from such vices and focus on their spiritual, mental and personal development.
The Qirat competition featured mesmerising recitation of the Quran. The participants mastery of tajweed and their melodious voices captivated everyone present.
In Naat competition, the participants delivered soul stirring naats, each bringing a unique style and interpretation.
The event went smooth and in the end, Hon'ble Chairman, Dr. Yousuful omer gave an inspirational speech and urged the students to work hard and rise high in life. He emphasized the need for leadership in society and encouraged the participants to aspire to be role models in their communities.
Sahee from class X Anum khalid from class XI and Naila from class x were the Ist 2nd and 3rd winners of the Qirat Competition and Seerat from class XII Rida from class XI and Seerat Manzoor from class IX were the Ist 2nd and 3rd winners of the Naat competition.
Winners and participants were awarded trophies and certificates. The event was a huge success and the organisers were highly appreciated by everyone..

The department of youth services and sports in collaboration with district administration srinagar organised diverse sports activities across srinagar. The students of our Institute also participated in these activities and came with flying colors .
U-17 girls football tournament was played in which our students played for srinagar district. The final was played between Srinagar and Baramulla at Ganderbal sports stadium. The match was won by Baramulla by 3-1.Srinagar lifted the runner up trophy and the two students from our Institute displayed skilled sports performance and were selected for the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
U-17 volleyball was held at Zonal Level in which 32 teams of Batmaloo Zone participated. The final was played between IMI Girls and GHS Chattabal. IMI Girls beat the opponent by a huge margin. Our volleyball team was the only skilled and professional team selected for the whole zone. At the end Headmistress GHS chattabal awarded the winning and runner up teams.

Recently Zonal level kho-kho under 14 girls tournament was held under the auspices of Batmaloo zone youth services and sports. The tournament was played at GHS chattabal. Our girls team defeated Minto Circle in the final, thus clinches the winners of trophy. The team was honoured on spot by the sports officers and officials along with the headmistress of GHS Chattabal.
Needless to mention 22 teams of the zone participated in this tournament and the team of our institute made the triumphal beat. The Principal of our institute applauded the team and their teachers for winning laurels and adding feather to the cap of the institute. She urged them to sustain the tempo and keep the streak of winning continue.

Today on 27.07.2024 our Institute organised an investiture ceremony to elect and appoint new leaders who had to shoulder new responsibilities and to take the Institute towards new horizons. The function started with the recitation of holy Quraan just to seek the blessings of Almighty. Tilawat was followed by Naat e Sharif to shower the flowers of faith on our beloved Prophet.
Esteemed Principal shared her thoughts on the occasion. She emphasised on developing discipline and moral character among students. She said that the group of these students who have been selected meticulously after proper scanning and analyzing their performance through out the session. She further said that these representative have to lead the rest of the students towards the moral uprightness, refinement of the character and strengthening of sisterhood. She hoped that these new leaders will guide the fellow students to imbibe the spirit of "𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗡" that lies at the heart of philosophy of IMI.She urged the students to stay away from bad company and bad influences. It was followed by pinning the badges and honouring the saches. At the end of the function, all the elected students were adminstered the oath of responsibilities by the esteemed principal.

I extend my heartiest congratulations to the students of class 10th for their excellent performance in the recently announced board exams. It is a matter of great pride for the institute that 25 students are listed in the merit list and all other students are falling in A1 Grade. It is pertinent to mention that 43 girl students have appeared in the board examination from our Institute. I congratulate their families and the staff members who deserve applause for their hard work and dedication towards the exam preparation of these students. We hope these students will continue to show this winning streak in their years ahead and wish them all the best for future endeavours.

Our Institute organised Annual CC Run 2024 for classes 6th-8th on 08-06-2024.The venue for the event was Nishat Garden to Duck park via foreshore road. The run was flagged off by the honorable chairman IMT Dr. Yousuf ul Umer at 7.00 a. m. Worthy Secretary IMT Er. Mohd. Amin Qureshi and the principal of IMI girls Mrs. Fatima Tak was also present on the occasion. All senior faculty members escorted the students from beginning to end. The run encompassed the beautiful bank of the world famous Dal Lake. Almost 200 girl students of age group 12-14 years participated in the event. They were all excited, vigrous, and enthusiastic. Each of them tried hard to be among front runners. Honorable chairman, worthy Secretary and the principal also ran with the students to boost their morale and to infuse more vigour in them. The run culminated near Duck Park.
Zobiya Majeed of class 8th B stood Ist while Duha Manzoor of 8th B and Sabah Zahoor of 8th C secured second and Third positions respectively. A glittering function was followed in which the position holders were felicitated by the honorable chairman. The first second and third position holders were given trophies and certificates by the sonsy hands of the honorable chairman. He adressed the students and laid stress to be bold and courageous enough to face any challenge of the life. He thanked the principal and school management for organising such an energetic event. Worthy Secretary and esteemed principal also spoke on the ocassion to encourage the students. At the end light refreshment was given to all the participant students, staff memebers on duty, supporting staff and the officials from the government on duty.

The trails were challenging, but the views were absolutely worth it. 🌳

In continuation with the celebration of environmental week, the Institute organised a massive plantation drive today on 06.06.24 in the school campus. The students of the Institute had brought variety of the samples of the plants which were planted in the campus with the theme and the motive"Go Green".
Honorable chairman Dr Yousuf ul umer Worthy secretary Er. Mohd. Amin Qureshi and principal of the Institute Mrs. Fatima Tak were present on the ocassion to boost the morale of the students. Honourable chairman while addressing the students highlighted the importance of the trees and the plants in the context of faith and science. He urged the students to take steps for the conservation of environment which starts from the home. He laid stress on the protection and preservation of the Institute belongings and surroundings. He thanked the principal and the staff for making this program a success. The principal also thanked the staff and the students to show their keen interest for this natural nurture drive...
