Established in 1950, the college has a glorious past with excellent academic track record and has played a pivotal role for women

education and empowerment in the state.Presently this college is one of the few colleges in the country and so-far the only Degree College in the State of Jammu and Kashmir with NAAC Accredited Grade A, a testimony to the academic excellence and quality culture achieved and maintained by the College. The College joined the elite club of institution with facilities of satellite based education by setting up of an Edusat Hub for Kashmir valley in the College. We offer these students an exciting array of career-oriented programs that meet their demands and quality standards.
