The Lodha Genius Programme is a fully funded, residential programme for one month for school children of classes 9-12 aimed at fostering interest in Sciences and Mathematics. It is funded by the industrialist Abhishek Lodha, and housed in Ashoka University in Sonepat, about 50 km from Delhi. Authorities on Wednesday announced closure of educational institutions across the Valley tomorrow.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, told that all universities, colleges and schools shall remain closed on September 4, 2025, in view of the adverse weather conditions.

In view of the inclement weather, class work across all campuses of University of Kashmir will remain suspended for today, (the 3rd of September, 2025) and all exams scheduled for today (3rd September 2025) are also postponed. Fresh dates for the exams will be announced separately.
