17th June 2026: An academic inspection of NorthLand Public High School, Zawoora was conducted on 17th June 2026 by the worthy Principal/Cluster Head along with the inspection team. The visit was aimed at reviewing the academic progress, classroom practices, and overall functioning of the institution.
During the inspection, classrooms were visited and interactions were held with students and teachers to assess learning outcomes, student participation, and the quality of teaching-learning processes. Academic records, lesson plans, attendance registers, and students' work were also examined.
The worthy Principal/Cluster Head appreciated the efforts of the school administration and teaching staff in maintaining a positive learning environment and promoting academic excellence. Khonmoh, June 9, 2026: Government Boys Higher Secondary Institute (BHSS) Khonmoh had the honour and privilege of welcoming the Worthy Collector LCMA, Mr. Mohammad Altaf Bhat, who conducted a comprehensive academic inspection of the institution to review its academic functioning, infrastructure, student performance, and overall educational environment.
During the inspection, Mr. Mohammad Altaf Bhat visited classrooms, science laboratories, computer laboratory, vocational education labs, library, and other academic facilities. He interacted with students and teachers, reviewed academic records, and took keen interest in the academic progress and developmental activities of the institution.
The Worthy Principal, Ms. Nahid Shah, briefed Mr. Mohammad Altaf Bhat about the various initiatives and achievements of the school in academics, vocational education, sports, co-curricular activities, and campus development.
Mr. Mohammad Altaf Bhat appreciated the disciplined atmosphere, cleanliness, and academic standards maintained by the institution. He encouraged students to remain dedicated to their studies and actively participate in co-curricular and skill-based activities. He also suggested greater utilization of library and laboratory facilities, regular academic monitoring, and enhanced career guidance programmes for students.

Government Boys Higher Secondary Institute Khonmoh celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 with great enthusiasm and commitment towards environmental conservation. The programme featured a plantation drive, awareness activities, and cleanliness initiatives aimed at promoting a greener and healthier environment.

World Environment Day Observed at BHSS Khonmoh with Plantation Drive Under Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign
Khonmoh, June 05: World Environment Day 2026 was observed with great enthusiasm at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Khonmoh through a plantation drive organized under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Campaign. The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness, encourage sustainable practices, and inspire students to contribute towards building a greener and healthier society.
The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mr. Akshay Labroo, as the chief guest. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by Chief Education Officer Srinagar, Mr. Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din, Principal BHSS Khonmoh, Ms. Nahid Shah, Tehsildar Khonmoh, Mr. Muzamil, Cluster Head Axis Bank, Sheikh Gowhar, along with other officers and officials. Students and staff members welcomed the dignitaries and expressed their appreciation for their presence at the institution.
Organized by the District Administration Srinagar in collaboration with Axis Bank and BHSS Khonmoh, the programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers, teachers, students, and community members. A large number of saplings were planted across the school campus with the objective of enhancing green cover and promoting environmental stewardship among the younger generation.
During the plantation drive, the Deputy Commissioner planted a deodar sapling and emphasized the importance of protecting the environment for future generations. He highlighted the crucial role of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance, combating climate change, and preserving biodiversity. He encouraged students to actively participate in environmental conservation activities and adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Akshay Labroo stressed that environmental protection and social well-being go hand in hand. Referring to the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign, he urged students to remain vigilant against the dangers of substance abuse and to become ambassadors of positive change within their communities. He noted that awareness, education, and active youth participation are key to building a healthy and progressive society.
