Part 3 | Srinagar’s Rolling Trophy Event 1st Inter-College Debate Competition-2026 organised under Youth Engagement and Empowerment Programme by the District Administration Srinagar in collaboration with Amar Singh College Srinagar.

The debate theme “Skill development and not the delivery of formal degrees should be the priority of the government today,” generated insightful and engaging discussions.

Students from various colleges across the city presented well-reasoned arguments both for and against the motion.

In connection with the celebrations of World Earth Week 2026, themed “Our Power, Our Planet,” the College organized a Sustainability Rally and Pledge Ceremony aimed at reinforcing students’ commitment to environmental protection and encouraging sustainable living practices.

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Aijaz Ahmad Hakak chaired the event and appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation in the celebrations, organised by the Department of Environment Science and Eco-Club (Shehjar) in collaboration with the Department of Geology and the NSS.
