On 4 Dec 2025, PM SHRI Government High School Chumathang in collaborated with the PHC Nyoma medical team—led by Dr Jigmat (Ney)—to screen 87 students. Most of the results came back clean, with just a handful of dental cases needing follow‑up.

Parents of PM SHRI Govt High School Chumathang served a grand dinner on 18th of September 2025 night to express gratitude for the staff's team work and dedication. The staff members were honored with traditional white scarves, symbolizing respect. All the students were also present and enjoyed the parents' party till late night altogether.

HUGE Congratulations to the Department of School Education and school community!

PM SHRI Government High School Chumathang has officially been dedicated to the nation virtually by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon'ble Union Minister of Education on the eve of the the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam, 2025 on 29th July, 2025 which coincides with the 5th anniversary of NEP 2020 at the Bharat Mandapam premises.
The staff and the students witnessed the lives telecast program at school.

On April 13th, 2025, senior students from PM SHRI Government High School Chumathang, led by the Children Group, participated in a meaningful initiative under the guidance of respected senior master, Sh Urgain Chemat Dorjay.

The students repaired dustbins, old desks, and benches through coloring and mending, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a clean and conducive learning environment.

The staff and SMC expressed heartfelt gratitude to the students for their kind gesture. This initiative not only improved the school's physical space but also provided a valuable learning experience.

A valedictory function was held on March 1, 2025, to mark the conclusion of a month-long winter camp for the students of PM SHRI HS Chumathang, focused on multifaceted skills development. The event was graced by Advocate Tashi Gyaltson, Hon'ble Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, as the chief guest. Advocate Gyaltson acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the school administration, parents, village education committee, and resource persons in effectively implementing government policies/ schemes for the benefit of children.

The guests of honor, including Hon'ble Councillor Mr. Nurbu, Sh Sonam Angchok, Chief Education Officer, and Ms. Deldan Angmo, Principal DIET Leh, expressed concerns about the students' well-being and emphasized the importance of guiding them to become good human beings. This event highlights the significance of community involvement and collaborative efforts in shaping the future of children.

An intensive 15-day training program on Social Emotional and Ethical Learning (SEE Learning) is underway for classes 4th to 10th at PM SHRI Government High School Chumathang's Winter Camp from 15th of February. Under the guidance of Sh Tsering Angdus (Nubra), Lecturer, students are actively engaging with the program.

The interactive sessions provide a safe space for students to express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions related to their daily life experiences. By sharing their unique perspectives, students are developing essential life skills, such as self-awareness, compassion, and responsible decision-making.

The School Administration of PM SHRI Govt HS Chumathang, in collaboration with parents and SMC members, has launched the 4th Winter Camp for students of classes 6th to 10th from 31st of January, 2025 at Amma Padma Home Stay in Skara, Leh.
