Nasha Mukht Bharat programme was organised by 29 BN CRPF, Rawalpora Srinagar under the supervision of Srinagar Sector J&K at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Soura, Srinagar with the theme “Say No To Drugs, Yes To Life.”

The programme was organised by School Activity Coordinator Mr. Mushtaq Soleah under the supervision of Incharge Principal Ms. Asifa Shaheen. Around 150 students participated in the awareness programme with great enthusiasm.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Mushtaq Soleah while the welcome note was presented by Ms. Sumaira Shafi. Principal Ms. Asifa Shaheen presented a bouquet to the Commander Chief as a gesture of respect and gratitude.

The awareness programme highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraged students to adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle.

All staff members actively participated in the said event. A pledge against drug abuse was also administered to all participants. The programme proved highly informative, meaningful, and fruitful in spreading awareness among students and staff members.

A prize distribution ceremony was also held during the event. Certificates were distributed among the students who participated in painting and debate competitions, appreciating their creativity, talent, and active involvement in promoting awareness against drug abuse.

At the conclusion of the programme, a rally was conducted in which CRPF personnel, staff members, and students actively participated to spread awareness against drug abuse. Later, the Chief Commander thanked the entire school administration, staff, and students for their cooperation and successful coordination of the programme.

The first morning assembly was successfully held at BHSS Soura, marking a fresh and enthusiastic beginning of the new academic session. The campus echoed with positivity and excitement as new students joined the school with great zeal and hope for a bright future.
The assembly commenced with prayers, creating a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere. Firdous Ali Wani, the Principal, warmly welcomed the students and congratulated them on becoming a part of the institution. In his address, he motivated students to focus on discipline, dedication, and academic excellence. He encouraged them to actively participate in both curricular and co-curricular activities to shape their overall personality.
Teachers also interacted with the students during the assembly, guiding them about school values, rules, and expectations. The interaction helped create a friendly and supportive environment, making the new students feel comfortable and confident.
The morning assembly concluded on an inspiring note, setting a positive tone for the upcoming academic journey.

Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions Conclude at BHSS Soura

The Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Kho-Kho concluded successfully at BHSS Soura, witnessing enthusiastic participation from various schools across the zone. The event showcased the talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship of young athletes in a spirited and competitive atmosphere.

All position holders, runner-ups, and participating students were awarded trophies, medals, and certificates by the Principal, Mr. Firdous Ali Wani, in a grand felicitation ceremony. The gesture served to recognize and encourage the efforts of all students, promoting a culture of healthy competition and sports excellence.

The event was highly appreciated for its smooth organization and the vibrant display of athletic talent, marking a memorable chapter in the school’s sporting calendar.

Intramural activities are currently underway at BHSS Soura, engaging students in a variety of sports and recreational competitions.

Intramural activities in the disciplines of Volleyball and Badminton were successfully conducted at BHSS Soura on 24th April 2025. The event showcased students' talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship, promoting a spirit of healthy competition and physical fitness.
