Nasha Mukht Bharat programme was organised by 29 BN CRPF, Rawalpora Srinagar under the supervision of Srinagar Sector J&K at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Soura, Srinagar with the theme “Say No To Drugs, Yes To Life.”

The programme was organised by School Activity Coordinator Mr. Mushtaq Soleah under the supervision of Incharge Principal Ms. Asifa Shaheen. Around 150 students participated in the awareness programme with great enthusiasm.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Mushtaq Soleah while the welcome note was presented by Ms. Sumaira Shafi. Principal Ms. Asifa Shaheen presented a bouquet to the Commander Chief as a gesture of respect and gratitude.

The awareness programme highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraged students to adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle.

All staff members actively participated in the said event. A pledge against drug abuse was also administered to all participants. The programme proved highly informative, meaningful, and fruitful in spreading awareness among students and staff members.

A prize distribution ceremony was also held during the event. Certificates were distributed among the students who participated in painting and debate competitions, appreciating their creativity, talent, and active involvement in promoting awareness against drug abuse.

At the conclusion of the programme, a rally was conducted in which CRPF personnel, staff members, and students actively participated to spread awareness against drug abuse. Later, the Chief Commander thanked the entire school administration, staff, and students for their cooperation and successful coordination of the programme.

The first morning assembly was successfully held at BHSS Soura, marking a fresh and enthusiastic beginning of the new academic session. The campus echoed with positivity and excitement as new students joined the school with great zeal and hope for a bright future.
The assembly commenced with prayers, creating a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere. Firdous Ali Wani, the Principal, warmly welcomed the students and congratulated them on becoming a part of the institution. In his address, he motivated students to focus on discipline, dedication, and academic excellence. He encouraged them to actively participate in both curricular and co-curricular activities to shape their overall personality.
Teachers also interacted with the students during the assembly, guiding them about school values, rules, and expectations. The interaction helped create a friendly and supportive environment, making the new students feel comfortable and confident.
The morning assembly concluded on an inspiring note, setting a positive tone for the upcoming academic journey.

Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions Conclude at BHSS Soura

The Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Kho-Kho concluded successfully at BHSS Soura, witnessing enthusiastic participation from various schools across the zone. The event showcased the talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship of young athletes in a spirited and competitive atmosphere.

All position holders, runner-ups, and participating students were awarded trophies, medals, and certificates by the Principal, Mr. Firdous Ali Wani, in a grand felicitation ceremony. The gesture served to recognize and encourage the efforts of all students, promoting a culture of healthy competition and sports excellence.

Mega Event SVEEP 2024

A SVEEP Mega Event was organised today on 21st September 2024 at DUL BAGH PARK Soura. The Mega Event was a joint collaboration of District Election Officer Srinagar Dr. Bilal Mohidin, RO Zadibal Mr. Khalid Hussain, District Nodal Officer SVEEP Srinagar Ms. Shabina Qaiser, and Nodal Officer SVEEP AC 24 Zadibal Mr Firdous Ali Wani. The event was formally inaugurated by Chief Guest madam Shabina Qaiser, Chief Education Officer Srinagar and Firdous Ali wani,Nodal Officer SVEEP Zadibal by releasing tricolour balloons in the sky. Mega Event was graced by many distinguished guests from civil and police administration.Ms Anjum Raja, Deputy Chief Education Officer Srinagar and all members of SVEEP Team Srinagar,Principals, staff and students from Govt and Pvt. Higher Secondary and High Schools of Zadibal Constituency also graced the occasion. The Event witnessed cultural and musical events,pledge ceremony,SVEEP mascot, fun activities,kite flying, nukad natak,speeches,ladishah, signature campaign etc. CEO, Mtr Shubina Qaiser and Dy CEO Anjum Raja in their adress impressed upon all to make judicious use of vote in upcoming Assembly Elections. The event culminated with a Human Chain which symbolised the resolve of all participants to become active citizens of our country by voting on 25th September.

Today on 29th Aug 2023 Sports Day was celebrated at BHSS SOURA with great enthusiasm.
The School’s playground was overflowing with zeal, passion and excitement. The event aimed not only to promote physical fitness but also to instill the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy competition among students. Principal Mr Firdous Ali Wani flagged off the event.The students displayed a wide array of energetic and bouncy sports events ranging from the Sports Pledge, School drill, 100/200 meters Race, 4 X 100 meters Rely, Shot put, Tug Of War , Musical Chairs etc.Participants mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances. The proud staff could be seen filled with happiness to see their students performing. Healthy refreshment were distributed among students .
At last Principal Sir highlighted the importance of sports and fitness and encouraged everyone, especially the students, to pay more attention to their physical fitness.
