The 78th Independence day celebration was marked in our school on 15.08.2024 with abundant patriotic fervor. After hoisting the National Flag, Dr. Kanur K. Balasundaram M.A., M.Ed., Ph.D., Chairman, received royal solutes from the contingents of four houses during the march-past. Subsequently, various spectacular cultural programmes presented by our lovable children enthrauled the audience. Mr. Vetrivel, Vice-principal, Mrs. Linda Alexander, Principal and Mrs. Anbumathi Balasundaram, Trustee of Thirugnanam Educational Trust formally addressed the students recalling the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and underlining the significance of freedom. The Chairman, in his special address, conveyed the Independence Day wishes to the gathering and as the special message, he insisted the students to march persistently towards their goals without any deviation. He also gave away medals and certificates amicably to the winners of the Olympiad exams. The celebration culminated with the National Anthem. Behind the success of today's celebration, were our sincere teaching and non-teaching staff and supportive parents. To be noted that Mrs. Latha, department of Tamil and Mrs. Roslin Mery, department of Science proposed welcome address and vote of thanks respectively. Mrs. Mohanambal was the emcee of the entire programme. Sincere thanks to the department of physical education for the flawless arrangement.

It is elated to share that our students K.Dharmishta, grade X and S.Thanuinaya, grade VI brought laurel to our school by taking part in the KICK-BOXING tournament and bagging brizes on 14.04.2024 in Arignar Anna stadium, Cuddalore. Dharmishta secured two first prizes under the Older Cadet Category, and Thanuinaya obtained the first prize under the Younger Cadet Category. Our school Chairman, Dr. Kanur K. Balasundaram M.A., M.Ed., Ph.D. appreciated the winners. Congratulations to the achievers!!!
