Late Upendra Nath Pradhan whose unconditional love spent making many a monumental educational institute founded this college on 16th July 1964. The college epitomizes the ultimate vision of the founding father, teacher in blood but restless maker of institutions in passion. ttitude of the students and the faculty as well. The college campus, sprawling over an area of nearly sixteen acres of land of its own, houses three faculties like Arts, Science and Commerce. Clinging very close to national highway no-5 and Soro railway station on the SERLY at a stone-throw distance, the institution provides a good communication to its beneficiaries. Arts class in 1964 and since then, it does not look back and has grown into a full fledged degree college. It provided intermediate teaching facility in Science in 1970 and Commerce in 1976. The college was raised to the stage in Arts in 1966, Commerce in 1978 and Science in the year 1980. The college was previously affiliated to Utkal University but now affiliated to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore. At present it is one of the premier colleges in the district of undivided Balasore and the Universities well giving Honours teaching facilities in 13 subjects like English, Economics, History, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Commerce. Computer teaching facility in PGDCA and CCP is available under the joint venture of Govt. of Orissa and the college. The college full of academic and pedagogic set up ,has witnessed many a glorious session. With the passage of time, it has snow-balled from strength to strength, from prosperity to prosperity and from glory to glory. Apart from NAAC’s accreditation, spectacular performance of the student in H.S. and University exams, hallmarks the institution.
