HSS Botingoo observed World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm under the theme “Climate Change”. On this occasion, an Inter-Class Quiz Competition was organized to create awareness among students about environmental conservation, climate action, and sustainable living.

Four teams representing Classes IX, X, XI and XII participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. The participants displayed remarkable knowledge and awareness of environmental issues through various rounds of the quiz. After a closely contested competition, the team from Class IX emerged as the winner and was felicitated for their outstanding performance.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Worthy Principal, who appreciated the efforts of all participants and emphasized the importance of protecting the environment through collective action and responsible behaviour. The event concluded with a pledge by students and staff to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.

EnvironmentAwareness Rally was organized at Government Higher Secondary School Botingoo under the guidance and leadership of the worthy Principal, Mr. Ather Hussain. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff members who carried placards and banners highlighting messages on global awareness, environmental responsibility, social harmony, and sustainable living.

The rally commenced from the school premises and passed through nearby areas, spreading awareness among the local community about the importance of collective action for a better and more responsible world. Students raised informative slogans and interacted with the public to promote awareness on contemporary global issues. Awareness rallies are commonly used by educational institutions to engage communities and encourage responsible citizenship.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. Ather Hussain emphasized the role of young learners as agents of positive change and urged students to contribute towards building a peaceful, informed, and environmentally conscious society.

The programme concluded successfully with a pledge by the participants to continue promoting awareness and responsible civic behavior in their daily lives.

World Environment Day Celebrated at HSS Botingoo

Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Botingoo observed World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 under the global theme "Climate Action". The programme was held under the guidance of Principal Mr. Athar Hussain Tali and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff. On the occasion, Mtr. Tanvera Ali delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and collective responsibility towards combating climate change. Students also participated actively by sharing their views on environmental protection and sustainable living.
A pledge was administered to the participants, reaffirming their commitment to protecting the environment, reducing pollution, and promoting eco-friendly practices.
