SCHOOL BAG POLICY 2020: Finally, the burden has been lifted off the backs of School Students!!
We had taken up this problem of heavy school bags many years ago. It took a long time to pass this law but finally India has realised that a school student cannot be treated like a beast of burden. No school can ask them to carry a bag more than 10% of their body weight which is a bearable load and does not cause an injury to the student. When we the parents were in school, we have faced this ordeal and many of us have injured our limbs for life but at least the next generation does not have to suffer like all of us. This is a welcome change for the current generation of school students.

Teacher's Day Fiasco at Amity: The Amity School made students come to the school from 1 pm to 5 pm on September 5, Teachers Day. They were supposed to watch the live broadcast of the speech of Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi in a hall. The school was not able to arrange a telecast of the speech and the students were just made to sit on the floor for hours without any work. Parents were not informed of this incident!

Studies showing that a school bag weighing more than five percent of the child's weight impacts their posture, even causing disability, and guidelines being issued by the ministry of human resource development to limit the load notwithstanding, not much seems to have changed.

Considering the increased number of cyber crimes, we have started a Cyber Congress under guidance of Mr. Raksh*t Tandon, Cyber Crime Cell, Gurgaon Police, and one of our first tasks is to ensure that none of our school’s students below the age of 13 have a Facebook account. We humbly request you to remove your ward’s Facebook account if they are underage and have an account, as it is illegal as per the rules and regulations of Facebook. We have already got some of the accounts removed but this task can’t be completed without the co-operation of the parents and the children.
