“Sir, how do I know which career is right for me?”
A Class 9 student asked me this question today during my session at Rishikul World Academy.
The hall had students and parents sitting together, listening carefully.
I asked the audience a simple question:-
“How many of you know more than 100 career options?”
Only 2–3 hands went up.
But the reality is shocking.
Today there are 3000+ career options,
90,000+ courses, and thousands of universities in India and abroad.
Yet most students still choose their stream based on only three options:
Science
Commerce
Arts
And sometimes even those are chosen based on:
• Marks
• Friends’ decisions
• Family pressure
• Social perception
But career decisions should never be made like this.
Every child is unique.
Some have analytical intelligence,
Some have creative intelligence,
Some have leadership intelligence,
Some have people intelligence.
When students understand their interest, aptitude, personality and natural abilities, career clarity becomes easy.
