Shiva Shiksha Sadan, Sonepat made its humble beginning in merely 2 rented rooms on September 09,1974 , in Dev Nagar, under the aegis of Shivaji Education Society (Regd.), Sonipat. This sapling has now grown into a stout tree under the constant patronage of its well wishers . The school progressed steadily and in 1980 it was upgraded to Middle standard. In 1983, its first batch of 16 students app
eared in Class VIII of Board of School Education ,Haryana and all the students passed in 1st Division .It spurred us on to intensify our efforts further and the school carved a niche in the educational town of Sonepat. It was all due to the concerted and sustained efforts of the teaching staff and the management of the School .In 1990, one of our student , Krishan Gupta of class VIII , topped the list of successful candidates in Sonepat & stood third in the state. We would be failing in our duty if we do not acknowledge the contribution of our well wishers. Due to the efforts of Late Dr. Mangal Sain ji , the then Industry Minister , Haryana and Sh. We secured an additional piece of 6000 yds , thanks to the efforts of Mr. Mange Ram ji Gupta , the then Finance Minister , Haryana . The school showed excellent results and become a force to reckon with in the field of education .In 1992, our first batch of 91 students appeared in the Matriculation Exam of Board Of School Education , Haryana and the entire batch passed . Rajeev Kumar got 89% and secured 1st postion in Sonepat among boys. He got admission to REC Kurukshetra in Electronics and Communication Engg. Rachna Bansal and Meenu Goyal kept the flag flying high .They topped Class X in the Board Of School Education , Haryana in 1995 and 1996 respectively. AFILLIATION
In August 1995, the school received affiliation to CBSE, Delhi upto Senior Secondary standard. Again the entire first batch of +2 passed . Rachna Bansal got 84% marks and doing us proud, got admission to Electronics and Communication Engg. State College of Engg. Murthal, Haryana. The school has three well equipped science labs, the moden computer labs, smart class rooms and a well stocked library. It also has a nursery for tiny tots and a children’s park . Excellent sports facilities exist for Basket Ball , Volley ball, Badminton , Athletics, Kho-Kho and Table Tennis. Special emphasis is laid on arts and paintings. In addition at present, the School has more than 2700 students on roll. In 1996, the foundation of Lord Shiva’s Temple was laid in the school campus. It is now a beautiful temple. By now, a strong need was felt to help the poor and downtrodden people of the society , yet in another way. With this view, the Shivaji Education Society (Regd.) started Shiva Hospital , which was inaugurated on 4th April 1998. The school has completed very fruitful and satisfying 40 years in the service to the Nation. All associated with the school and the Hospital are committed to maintain the pace of progress in times to come.
