B.L. School Kunihar NCC Cadets Shine at Annual Training Camp, Win Numerous Medals
Kunihar, June 24.
It is a matter of immense pride and honor for B.L. Central Senior Secondary School, Kunihar, that 26 NCC cadets (boys and girls) from the school delivered an outstanding performance at the ten-day NCC Annual Training Camp (ATC-225) held at Chitkara University, Baddi, winning several medals and accolades in various competitions and bringing glory to the institution.
The training camp was organized from June 14 to June 23, 2026, under the aegis of the 1st Boys Battalion NCC Solan. Around 588 NCC cadets from various schools, colleges, and universities across the state participated in the camp. The camp was conducted under the able leadership and guidance of Colonel Rajeev Thomas, Commanding Officer of the 1st Boys Battalion NCC Solan.
School Chairman Gopal Sharma informed that the school's NCC cadets participate in various training camps every year and consistently achieve remarkable success. This year as well, 26 cadets represented the school with great enthusiasm, discipline, and dedication. The school's ANO (Associate NCC Officer), Amar Dev, was also present at the camp and continuously guided the cadets.
During the camp, cadets received specialized training in drill, weapon handling, firing, leadership development, personality enhancement, social service, sports, and cultural activities. The school cadets excelled in various competitions and secured several medals.
Aksh*ta secured First Position in both the Solo Dance Competition and the Firing Competition. Tanya won First Position in the Speech Competition, showcasing her exceptional talent. In the Firing Competition, Mukund secured Second Position. The duo of Kartik and Saksham won First Position in the Badminton Competition. Meanwhile, Aksh*ta, Navya, and Chanchal secured Second Position in the Relay Race, and the school's team also achieved Second Position in the Basketball Competition, further enhancing the school's reputation.
School Chairman Gopal Sharma, the PTA President, and the entire teaching staff congratulated all participating and winning cadets and wished them a bright future. They stated that NCC serves as a powerful platform for developing discipline, leadership qualities, self-confidence, and a spirit of national service among youth.
The cadets who returned from the camp displayed remarkable enthusiasm and confidence. The experience and training gained during the camp will play a significant role in their personality development and help them bring pride to the school, Kunihar, and Himachal Pradesh at the national level in the future.
