Sports Meet 2025 | GNIDSR Alumni Association
The Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Alumni Association, in association with the Sports Club, GNIDSR, successfully organized a Cricket Tournament and Women’s Doubles Badminton Tournament on 12th and 13th December 2025.
The Women’s Doubles Badminton Tournament was held in memory of Late Sardar Jodh Singh and Late Sardarni Satnam Kaur.
• Late Sardar Jodh Singh Memorial Trophy (Badminton Winners): Ms. Quazi Saphia Sara and Ms. Ritika Mishra
• Late Sardarni Satnam Kaur Memorial Trophy (Badminton 1st Runners-up): Dr. Sreya Kundu and Dr. Arkamita Bhattacharya
• Late Sardarni Satnam Kaur Memorial Trophy (Badminton 2nd Runners-up): Dr. Rishika Singh and Ms. Tulika Jha
The Cricket Tournament was organized in memory of Late Dr. Anirban Roy, Late Dr. Debanjan Das, and Late Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Prakash BS.

A total of 84 participants, including students, PGs, faculty, and alumni, took part in the two-day event. The programme began with a homage to the departed souls and concluded with prize distribution by the esteemed guests Dr. Sanjeet Das and Dr. Rekha Puttanavar.
The event was organized under the guidance of the Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Alumni Association, promoting sportsmanship, remembrance, and unity.

We are pleased to inform you that the Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences & Research Alumni Association (GNIDSRAA), in collaboration with the Photography Club, GNIDSR, is organizing a photography contest, “Photo_Genesis.” The contest will be held online during the last week of December 2025, from 24th December to 31st December 2025.
The contest is open to:
• All alumni (except Executive Committee members of GNIDSRAA),
• Students, interns and postgraduate trainees (PGT) of Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research,
• Any student of any JIS GROUP college.

Participants can submit their entries online by emailing them to [email protected] within the contest period.

FOCUS 2025 | GNIDSR Alumni Association

We successfully hosted FOCUS on 18th July 2025 — a professional development programme empowering students, interns, and alumni with enhanced academic and clinical skills.

We were honoured to welcome our distinguished alumnus, Prof. (Dr) Niladri Maiti, Dean, School of Dentistry, Central Asian University, Uzbekistan, as Guest Speaker & Course Mentor. His session, “The EndoEdge: Hands-On Mastery with a Global Mentor”, offered advanced training in endodontic techniques.

Heartfelt thanks to Mr. Aravind Chattopadhyay (RSM, Orikam) and team for their exceptional technical support.
