Siwan, Bihar — 30th March 2026: The Wembley International School, Ahmad Ghani Nagar, Siwan celebrated its Annual Function alongside the formal inauguration of Da One Sports Academy on the school premises — an initiative inspired by celebrated Indian cricketer Mr. Shikhar Dhawan, dedicated to developing sporting talent among young students.
The event was graced by Mr. Vivek Ranjan Maitrey, District Magistrate & Collector, Siwan as Chief Guest, who commended the school's vision in bringing professional sporting infrastructure to Siwan.
Special Guest Mr. Jagrit Anand, Director, Da One Sports Academy — former Ranji Trophy player, former Kolkata Knight Riders player, and former selector of Delhi Capitals in the IPL — spoke about the academy's mission to bring quality sports coaching to cities like Siwan, expressing confidence in the region's untapped talent.
The occasion was further graced by Guests of Honour: Dr. Izhar Ahmad, Former MLA, Gaura Bauram, Darbhanga; Mr. Nurul Hooda, Former Additional Director General, Railways; and social activists Mr. Syed Shad Alam and Mr. Iftekhar Ahmad.
Principal Mr. Mohammad Aquib delivered an inspiring address on sport as a foundation for character and resilience. Director Mr. Arif Zafar Ghani concluded the evening with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks to all guests, parents, teachers, and students.
The function also featured cultural performances and a student award ceremony, attended by a large gathering of parents, educators, and community members.
