Our school successfully conducted the SPL–ASPL Election 2026 on 13.07.26. Students enthusiastically participated in polling, and voting, gaining practical experience in democracy, leadership, and responsibility. A total of 9 nominees contested for the post of SPL, and 2 nominees contested for the post of ASPL.The event encouraged active citizenship and strengthened the values of fair and transparent elections.

Robotics Orientation Programme
Velammal Matric Hr. Sec. School, Thiruppuvanam, conducted a Robotics Orientation Programme on 1st July 2026. Mr. Newrichan N., Embedded Engineer, Tarcin Tech LLP, introduced students to the fundamentals and applications of robotics through an interactive session, inspiring them to explore innovation and future technologies.

Greetings to all🙏
Vadiva Fest Tech Design and Technology conducted a three-day workshop on January 9, 10, and 11 at Velammal Knowledge Park, Ponneri, Thiruvallur District, based on Drone and Aerospace Technology. Our students actively participated in all five pavilions—Prithivi, Agni, Vayu, Jal, and Aakash—and received badges and certificates. The programme was very useful for young minds, helping them understand technology better and choose the right career path.

We are incredibly proud to announce a remarkable achievement by one of our bright students! A.M. Keerthishwari of Std 11A has brought honor to our school by securing the Second Prize (Rs. 3000 /- ) cash award in the highly competitive Tamil Turn Coat Competition.
Competition Details and Achievement
The competition was part of the KIDDIBETES Inter-School Competition organized by the Madurai Dreams Foundation & Ashwin Speciality Hospital. Keerthishwari demonstrated exceptional skill, quick wit, and mastery of the subject matter during the Turn Coat event, which requires participants to argue both for and against a given topic.
The event was held at SPJ Matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Avaniyapuram, Madurai, on November 14th.
