Celebrating Nurses Day

International Nurses Day is an international day celebrated around the world on May 12 of each year, to mark the contributions nurses make to society. International Nurses Day marks the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. Known as the ‘Lady with the Lamp,’ and considered the founder of modern nursing. Even today she stands as an example of the importance of the profession. On this day we celebrate the hard work and contributions of our nurses by discovering some of their daily challenges and what can be done to help them.

Students always have a desire to do something different. Born at the end of the twentieth century, they have been witnessing the challenges and thrill of change and newness that defines the generation. Here comes the first dilemma, to choose the stream for higher studies Where, How and Which way do they complete their +2. Not only does a student have to select the stream of studies, but also the subjects.
To provide ample opportunities to the students for upgrading their skills, *BRGS* has always been conducting Career Counseling Workshop for its students. Once again, it was conducted by *CA Palak Mehta*, a member of ICAI( Institute of Charted Accountants of India). It was a platform to address the problems of the students for providing guidance about their careers, especially in Commerce. Having talked about the pros and cons of various streams, she gave a stress on Commerce. She explained to the students how Commerce education equips students with specialised skills that come useful in tackling problems in different functional areas of commerce, industry and trade. Further, she informed students about ICAI and the Chartered Accountancy Course. She briefed them on the exam intake procedures, grants and benefits. Leaflets were distributed to students to provide them with more information. A chartered accountant plays a very important part in managing the finances and the working of finance and accounting related tasks, therefore, being a Chartered Accountant is a good choice and required for growth in the field.
Indeed, it was a learning session for the students.BRGS always hopes for a better future.

The school celebrated "Labour's Day" to acknowledge the work done by the back-end staff. Sweets were distributed and role plays were performed by the students to thank the sub staff for always being for them. Students, also, made beautiful hand-made cards and conducted a cleanliness drive in their class to pay tribute to back-end staff. The students were also addressed by the Principal Ma'am regarding the need of having a respectful attitude towards the sub staff on daily basis.
