Remembering the Visionary Who Gave Us Our Foundation

The birth anniversary of Jannayak Chaudhary Devi Lal Ji holds a special significance for The Sirsa School. It is a day to remember the visionary whose commitment to education and society laid the foundation of our institution and continues to shape its journey.

The occasion began with a floral tribute to the revered Jannayak, followed by a soulful musical presentation by our students and music teachers.

The Eco Club marked the occasion with an awareness drive on waste segregation. Students were introduced to the colour-coded dustbins placed across the school and guided on their appropriate use. They were encouraged to carry this awareness beyond the school, helping people around them understand the importance of cleanliness and responsible waste disposal. The students also took a pledge to keep their school and its surroundings clean.

In her address, Director Principal Ms Manisha Godara reflected on the qualities and convictions that defined Chaudhary Devi Lal Ji as the Jannayak Jagat Tau. She reminded students that each one of us is unique and has the ability to think differently, solve problems, take the lead and create a meaningful impact. She emphasised that recognising our abilities and taking individual responsibility is where real action begins.

The day brought together remembrance and purposeful action, making his birth anniversary especially significant for an institution that owes its foundation to his vision. It was a reminder to each of us to recognise our abilities, take responsibility and carry that sense of purpose into the world around us.

Vriksha Bandhan – A Bond with Nature

This Raksha Bandhan, our students celebrated a bond that goes beyond human relationships — a bond with the trees that give us life, shade and a greener tomorrow. The students of Class VI, under the Eco Club, tied rakhis to trees and took a heartfelt pledge to protect and care for them.

The activity beautifully reminded us that the spirit of Raksha Bandhan can extend to our bond with nature. As we celebrate the promise of protection, let us also promise to protect the trees that protect us.
